    Hi everyone, thanks for all of your valuable feedback on this idea. The number of detailed comments clearly show how important this feature is for many of you.

    We also agree that this would add significant value to Xero Expenses. That’s why we’re pleased to update the status of this idea to Accepted. This means we have reviewed your feedback and it aligns with our product vision.

    While it is a feature we’d like to build, it’s not currently on our roadmap, so we can't provide a delivery timeframe just yet. We will share another update on this thread as soon as we have more news.

    Hey team, thanks for the continued support in this idea. We recognise the manual effort involved in consolidating tracking-category budgets, and while this remains outside our current roadmap we would like to share an update now that we have released new Budgets - Our new Analytics Budgets supports tracking category filters, but it doesn’t currently have the ability to roll separate tracking budgets into one master overall budget.

    We understand the appetite here and will continue to review this idea in future planning.

    If there are any changes we'll let you know here.

    For now, some community members have kindly referenced third-party options that could be explored and may fulfil needs in this space.

    That will teach me for assuming Xero did the basic of accounting and budgeting processes better than others... I'm unsure how this has been on the radar for 10 years and not yet been introduced.
    Hopefully the forums can help me now understand how other organisations/businesses operate without the ability to use departmental 'sub-budgets' in Xero and still track performance against budget on a monthly basis. Back to excel we go...
