Thanks for the great discussions here, just wanted to touch base to let you know we’re listening. The idea is still open and currently gathering support on Xero Product Ideas, so we don’t have a public timeframe to share right now. We’ll continue to keep a close eye on support here and update if anything changes.

    I totally agree.

I normally doa payrun 4-5 days in advance of payday & post it, but would like to email the payslips on the day before payment to emplyees, or on the payment date itself NOT when I post the payrun & then repeat it with a delay.

The current update really does nothing to help as I still have to log in again on payday to email the payslips as I have been doing for years.

I'm sorry to say your developers have either misunderstood how most people do payroll, or have simply done a 'cheap job' by scheduling what is effectively a duplicate payslip send IMHO.

I would have to agree with Scott on this.

The original suggestion thread was to be able to schedule sending the payslips on a specifyable date by the user NOT the way this system update appears to have been done.

'Emailing on posting payrun' & then again 'On payment date' (or set number of days afterwards) the pay-run makes no sense at all. This simply duplicates sending them & still doesn't give the user business the flexibility to send them even just on the 'Payment date ONLY' or let's say more importantly, the day before payment??!!

Basically the way the update has currently been implemented is inflexible & illogical IMHO
