Hi everyone, we appreciate your input and sharing detail of how you'd like to see this developed to help suit the needs of your business.
We want to upfront that we don't have plans for developing this in the next year. However looking further out to the future, our teams will continue to review and consider how they might build inventory in Xero to cater for units of measure.
If you're after an immediate solution, it might be worth exploring connected apps that can integrate with Xero and cater for your business needs. Hi everyone, there’s been a lot of thoughtful input shared on this idea, and we understand the efficiency and value this could bring for teams working with large or fast-changing contact lists.
While this request is not in the pipeline, that does not mean the need has gone unnoticed.
Your feedback continues to shape how we look at these gaps, and we appreciate you taking the time to explain what this would mean for your workflows.
We know this might not be the outcome many of you were hoping for. This idea will remain open for votes so we can continue to capture support, and we'll make sure to post here if the status changes in future.

It would be great if the number is auto assigned but I have the option to overwrite. The same as invoice number.

My butcher business work on weights per units and I have scales. I need the ability to add the weight to my invoices.
I also sell items with a unit price so adding the UOM is critical to distinguish between the items with or without weight.
