Hi everyone, there’s been plenty of great discussion around this idea, and we get how being able to copy bank rules would take a lot of repetition out of setup work.

It’s something we’d like to make happen, but with other priorities in this space right now hasn't been something we can add to the roadmap yet.

It may come to life as part of the ongoing improvements in the Bank Reconciliation area, and we'll defintiely let you know here if there's any progress.

The cheery reply from XERO is VERY DISAPPOINTING. . . "it hasn't been something we can add to the roadmap yet".

It's a NO-BRAINER FFS! We are paying enough monthly fees (nearly up 100% since I started at Xero) for you to pay a techie for a few hours work to make this happen.

Something like this shouldn't even need to be considered. It would cause no harm and only produce benefit.

Hi everyone, we appreciate all contributions and votes this idea has received overtime.

There are a few different features we'd like to highlight that can aid in the entry of a lot of transaction entry and solve for many of the needs here.

    • Non tracked inventory can be used as a means to save details for items you regularly purchase or sell and reduce the need to repetitively enter information such as Description, Price and Account
    • Contact defaults can additionally save time from having to enter or update account, and tracking options of your lines
    • Add contacts last items from the previous transaction you entered for them if you have contacts you regularly purchase or sell the same items
    • NEW drag & drop contents of a field up or down the column - hovering over a field you can click and drag from the dot in the bottom right corner…

So disappointing that Xero keep on increasing their fees (has nearly doubled since I started) and yet they can't address no-brainer ideas like this. Things like this should just be implemented regardles of how many "votes" they receive. It's common sense.

Hello - this is so obvious!
It's really needed in the Reconciliation forms too.
Really disappointed that this is missing given how much we are paying per month.

Hi team, while we appreciate you raising your idea here. Not getting much community traction overtime, and not being in our current roadmap we will remove this idea from the forums.

While I appreciate it's not solution you're after, to import transactions that match multiple statement lines you could consider importing these as Invoices or Bills.

With regard to the consideration of templates for split payments, one option could be to use the percentage split option in Bank rules rather than the fixed amount.

If this idea is still important and would make a big impact to your business flows, you're welcome to start it again to see if there is renewed interest from the community.
