Thanks so much for all your support and input on this idea, everyone.
We understand how helpful it’d be to have a credit limit field for suppliers in Xero, and how it could help manage cash flow and stay within agreed limits with your key suppliers.
A good workaround shared here, is to use the Notes field in the supplier's contact record to manually track their credit limit. While this doesn't automatically stop you from exceeding the limit, it's a visible reminder for your team. Additionally, regularly running the Aged Payables Summary or Detail report can help you keep an eye on what you owe and when it's due.
We know there’s a desire for this functionality, however we want to be transparent that we don’t have any plans for this in the near term, and will move this to Not in pipeline.
The idea will remain open for votes…

Hi everyone, while we don't have a direct report for this, some changes we've made to History & Notes in Xero will help in achieving what you're in need of here.
You can run the History & Notes, filtering by Type = Contact and typing 'Bank account number' in the Search to just view results for this action.
If needed you'll be able to export your results to PDF or Excel.
Though the contact name doesn't show on screen, you can right click on the Contact in the report to open the contact's record in a new browser tab, that allows you to inspect details without navigating away from your History & Notes results.

Hi community, thanks for continuing to support this idea and share the situations where it matters most to your business.
We’re now rolling out backorders for tracked inventory, that enables you to keep selling and invoice customers even when you don’t currently have enough stock on hand.
When this becomes available in your organisation, you’ll be able to approve a sales invoice for tracked items even where there isn’t enough available quantity to fully supply it. Xero will allocate any stock that's available straight away, place the remainder on backorder, and then automatically allocate incoming stock to those outstanding backorders as inventory increases.
We’ll continue to monitor feedback as this rolls out more broadly, and I’ll return to share another update once the release is complete.

2 years on and it is still not a feature. Really this needs a higher priority from the Xero team.
