    Hi team, as we continue to develop Xero Payroll for our AU customers we're pleased to share this is an idea that our product team have picked up to delve into and better understand the needs and makeup of users that are highly impacted by the manual data entry of timesheets.

    As part of their research they're looking to connect and hold interviews with a few customers, who can feedback on their new Timesheet data import prototypes.

    We are desperately needing an import function for Timesheets / Payroll.

    In one client's case we have just over 30 staff, does not sound like much, but each employee has on average 15 pay line items. That is 450 manual entries per pay cycle.
    We use a spreadsheet to prepare our data and it will be easy to then simply create a format for import purposes. Yet, the function is not available. Why not?

    Hey team thanks for supporting this idea of bulk adding or removing tracking options on invoices and bills.

    We have moved thi to Gaining Support so you can tell your friends and colleagues that they can oet and comment on this idea.

    Our Product team will keep an eye on this as it gains more support, although there is no work on this currently, it's good to know which features would be beneficial to users for the future.

    Could you please add a feature to fill a tracking category for every line in a bill or invoice?
    I am dealing with multiple pages of line items on a bill and each bill belongs to different locations (tracking categories). Note that allocating the tracking category to the supplier account, won't work, because they deal with all our tracking locations. If we can add the tracking option once with an option to fill all the remaining lines, it will save us a lot of silly repetitive work. Currently, we have to type, select, tab, tab, tab, tab, and then repeat it for every single line item! Do this over a 40 to 50 line bill and then repeat this over multiple bills for different locations and you will quickly realise how painful this is.
