Hi Shawn, to make sure we understand the idea here - would you like this field to be visible to the contact. Say when a certain branding theme is applied? Or just an internal to view when creating invoices in Xero? Thanks

In my point of view, this is critical for companies for example, selling over 10,000 different items which results in one invoice with multi pages. i.e. when you have over 50-100 line items in one invoice, if we don't have a row number that's automatically counted and added (ideally on the left first column), we have to count the actual lines unnecessarily time consuming. This field is required for both internal to view to check the number of line items sold, and for clients to clarify line items when needed, with just row number but without finding an item line in the middle of over 100 item lines.
I was surprised we don't have this field in xero.
