Hi everyone, we understand how frustrating it is when important emails like invoices are filtered or blocked, and how this affects customer trust and timeliness of engagement with your transactional communications. Thank you for continuing to share examples and highlighting the impact this has on your business.
We’ve made meaningful progress towards enabling email sending from your own domain. While progress is taking longer than we’d like, we can confirm that substantial backend work is underway. This work spans multiple interdependent teams across Xero, and there are still important steps we need to work through before we can release the capability to customers reliably.
As we continue to develop this capability, there are a few questions that would help our product teams ensure we’re solving the majority of our users’ needs in this space, with a reliable and secure solution.
We’d really appreciate your input on the following questions, either on the idea here, or by reacting to our update and sharing your internal feedback;
Within your Xero account would you want multiple Users to be able to manage custom email domain settings, or just Administrators?
Does your domain have more than one mailbox associated with it?
Would you want to use the same domain across more than one Xero organisation?
Thanks in advance for your inputs to these questions, which will help validate user requirements for this feature.

I would like to see that Xero supports proper email aliasing. That way even though the email is coming from your server, it appears as though it came directly from me. SO many services are providing this as a standard feature.
Customers are not expected to keep an eye out for emails coming from mail accounts that don't make sense to them (e.g., messaging-service@post.xero.com). In this modern age, it looks like junk or a phishing scam (and corporate IT departments are training their employees to look out for suspicious and unknown emails). Unfortunately, invoicing emails are being trashed, filtered and ignored.
