Hi everyone, we’d like to round back to share an update that the ability to accept deposits has now rolled out to all AU, NZ, UK, CA, SG and US organisations, and we expect to make this available to remaining regions soon.

Staying close to feedback from its release, our team have recently added a due date field in which you can select a specific date that payment of the deposit is expected if this differs from the Invoice due date.

I look forward to looping back to finalise once we’re at 100% roll out of deposits, and give you a hint of where we’ll be expanding functionality next!

Has Xero ever provided a satisfactory explanation as to why this basic feature isn't available without signing up for Stripe. Why it wasn't available from the very first Xero software release is bizarre and why it continues to be unavailable is remarkably bizarre. All our invoices are paid via bank transfers.

This basic, yet critical feature, needs to be available to all Xero users regardless of the methods used to accept payments.

Being able to take a deposit on an invoice would be welcomed. I understand this can be done with the most expensive subscription tier but it's flabbergasting that this can't be done on lower subscription tiers. Please add this functionality so my invoice appear professional when a deposit is required.
