Thanks for the great discussions here, just wanted to touch base to let you know we’re listening. The idea is still open and currently gathering support on Xero Product Ideas, so we don’t have a public timeframe to share right now. We’ll continue to keep a close eye on support here and update if anything changes.

The new update to email payslips to employees doesn't really make any sense.

The original suggested idea was to allow flexibility to payroll processors so they don't have to log in to Xero for each payroll client and release the payslips manually. The new update for scheduled automation just really moves the responsibility to the posting date so we now need to remember to log in to Xero to post the payroll with the automation either being automatic on the day, or within a 5 day window after posting!

Having a 1 to 5 day delay does nothing to really assist with the original query/request. Most payroll pay dates change month by month, dependent on whether the date of the pay day lands on a working day, a weekend or a bank holiday. We need the ability to post the payroll on whatever day we have the time availability to process and then be able to set a specific DATE that the payslips are released to employees.

The current update doesn't really improve the situation or make things any easier. I am a bit confused by the update to be honest and why it was released and I think others who requested this will agree!!
