    Hi everyone, thanks for your continued feedback about managing working patterns for part-time employees.

    We’re pleased to share that we plan to begin rolling out working patterns in AU Payroll later this year.

    The first release will allow you to set a one-week work pattern for each employee. This pattern will automatically be used for leave and public holiday calculations in the pay run. At this stage, you’ll still need to update the employee’s pay template separately to reflect their standard working hours.

    We plan to build on this foundation by connecting working patterns with standard hours in the pay run and supporting a broader range of working patterns. We’ll share more details as the first release gets closer.

    We currently have an employee asking about this; it's definitely a necessary feature to correctly account for employee leave and hours worked. Surprised that Xero does not allow for this.
