It would be very useful to have the ability to make a contact record confidential to certain users. For example, I would like a member of staff to access Xero to create invoices and quotes, but currently they would be able to access their colleagues contact details on Xero, details that we need to keep confidential ie. bank details, net pay amounts etc. So I am not able to give them access to Xero for quoting purposes.

There are variations of this request all the time. It is so obviously critical to data protection that it just surely be top of the Xero changes list. I currently have to circumvent using Xero bank pay to pay people, by not having my wages account linked to Xero via live feed, posting a manual bulk payment in Xero, just to avoid staff salaries, being available to my accounts clerk who has to have access to Xero for the book keeping. It also stops me using the projects and quoting features as I can’t have all staff being able to see staff records. come on Xero you are so great generally but really poor on this issue
