    Client staff timesheets can either be total hours worked wherein they can select shift types OR they are start and finish times which allow notes to be entered however the staff cannot select shift type.

    Can there be an update where staff can select shift types AND add notes?

    For example, for a care business,
    - staff member 1 - enters total hours worked and is able to select if she works Saturday or Sunday etc (she doesn't travel)
    - staff member 2 - enters start and finish time and notes regarding km's travelled however all shifts are entered as "day shift" and therefore timesheet has to be adjusted (after being approved by their boss) prior to payroll processing

    Contacted Xero Support and they confirmed the below:
    "Currently, Xero Payroll does have some limitations in combining all these features in a single timesheet entry. The system is designed with two primary timesheet types:
    1. Total hours worked: This allows selection of shift types but doesn't include a notes field or start/finish times.
    2. Start and finish times: This allows for notes (such as kilometers traveled) but doesn't allow for shift type selection.
    Unfortunately, there isn't a built-in way to have both shift type selection and notes in the same timesheet entry at this time. This can indeed create challenges for businesses like yours that need both functionalities."
