    Thanks for raising and supporting the idea here, community. Being open this isn't something we're looking to develop into Quotes for the time being. However, if needed you could have two branding themes, with a different Quote template: one for the quote itself, and one for a packing slip.

    You could then edit the quote, and switch the branding theme to the one you want to send out.

    I would like to add to Jacquelines comment below and offer another solution for Xero to Consider a new document called a picking list to solve!!

    I understand the premise of not wanting the ability to alter the invoice/packing list. It's actually a picking list that is required that can be sent to the warehouse to prepare the order whilst a Sales invoice is still in draft. Then any alterations can be noted and sent back to admin before the invoice is finalised and the packing list to attach to order for shipping.
