I have been needing the feature for a long time as well. If Xero can handle a +3 for the due date field to convert to current date + 3 days, why can a placeholder not do the same? Many of us are invoicing for a different period than the current one. In my case, I invoice on the 1st of a month to collect prepayment for the subsequent month, to reduce collection risk. A "+/-" feature would be simple and helpful. E.g., [Month+1] [Year] for an invoice issued on May 1, 2026, would read, "June 2026"

Hi everyone, thanks for your engagement on this idea! We completely understand why it matters, especially for our global Partners. A person’s name is a big part of who they are, and having to simplify or change it just to fit into a software field can be frustrating and confusing.

We’ve moved this idea to ‘Gaining Support’ so our product teams can see its impact. Are there particular characters or languages where you notice this most?
