Client list - Manager column
Under the 'client' page, we really need more column options. The 13 options that are available aren't all that helpful. Why can't we have a column for address, partner, manager, group?

XPH | Client list - Match partial or similar name in search
When you search for a client with client name, old xpm it used to search for anyone with similar name, now it has to be exact eg John James Jones, if you searched John Jones, it would come up, now it won't and you have to type John James Jones for it to appear. If you type John it will come up but what happens when you have 50 Johns to scroll through??? Please fix.
79 votesThanks for feeding back on the Client search, Carey. The way that search works for the new client list experience is a little different to the older experience, and partial matching is not a feature with this new search.
While it's not in our roadmap atm, our team are keen to stay close the support this idea receives and will consider in future planning. I'll share if there are any updates here.

Clients – Improve XPM client edit screen (whitespace & layout)
The new client information page has too much white space but the layout with the headings bigger and the line helping you to track from the heading to the actual data is OK. However when you click 'edit details' that all changes.
• the 'old' version only showed the headings and you could expand each heading to find the places you wanted to update. Much easier to scroll through.

Xero Tax (AU) | Include PAYG instalment for Trust Tax Returns
Please add a PAYG instalments section to Trust Tax Returns (TRT). This ensures that both the ATO and the client are provided with the correct tax payable per the tax return where there are no presently entitled beneficiaries.

The idea is to add a dedicated PAYG instalment field or calculation line within the Trust Tax Return, allowing tax professionals to track these amounts directly and reduce the need for manual adjustments.

XPH | Homepage - Ability to resize widgets
would be good to be able to resize the widgets to show more of what is important to us individually ie: I would like to be able to make the job widget bigger to show more jobs and shrink the time summary which is not important for my particular role

Some teams might want a big view of their Alerts, while others prefer a compact Time Summary—being able to adjust widget sizes would make the dashboard feel more like your own workspace.
Currently, fixed-size widgets can make key information feel crowded or require extra clicks to see more rows of data.

Clients - Add Bare Trust Structure Option
We would like to request the addition of a "Bare Trust" business structure option within the Business Structure field on the main client page in Xero Partner Hub.
Currently, Bare Trusts must be classified under the broader "Trust" category, which makes it difficult to accurately identify and report on these entities separately. As a result, additional manual processes and workarounds are required to distinguish Bare Trusts for reporting, workflow management, and compliance purposes.

Jobs - Reduce whitespace
The new beta job creation doesn't do anything the old one didn't do, everything is just either bigger or surrounded by more white space so there's less information on screen at once. It feels great on a touchscreen on an iPad, but I would assume most users are on a desktop where the experience is now just worse.

XPH | Homepage - Ability to Filter Jobs
It would be helpful to add additional filters to the jobs on the dashboard so that you could filter out certain job states and see true workflow for jobs that are due at that point in time.

XPH - Ability to merge jobs
Ability to merge jobs rather than moving timesheets.

It would ensure that notes, tasks, and time entries all stay in one place, giving you a clearer view of each job’s progress and profitability.

- I'd assume majority are not blind and old. Old interface is so much better.
- I still want to see my jobs on the side.
- Change it, it's embarrassing.

XPH - Add My Jobs widget to the homepage
Having to navigate to the "Job Manager" tab to view a list of all my jobs is not very practical. It would make far more sense to see all your jobs in the homepage. For the people who do not want this feature, there can be an option to hide this widget.
12 votesHi Cherry, thanks for sharing this idea! It’s clear that not having “My Jobs” on the homepage adds extra clicks and makes it harder to keep on top of daily priorities.
As a workaround in the meantime, the Jobs table on the homepage does have filters — you can filter the jobs by Assigned to me as staff, Assigned to me as manager, or Assigned to me as partner to help focus on the tasks relevant to you. Still, we know a dedicated homepage widget would make this even smoother.

Xero HQ - Display 'Start Date' column in Client and Group job lists
The list of jobs at a client level and Group level no longer displays the start date. Only due date is showing.
This functionality was available before. I am not sure why it was omitted. Practice | Homepage - View if a clients bank feed has a connection issue
It would be useful to easily view and take action in client orgs where a bank feed has a connection issue.
6 votesIt’s clear that manually checking each client organisation to see if a bank feed has dropped out can take up valuable time.
We hear you that a central view or alert on the Practice Homepage would make it easier to spot connection issues across your client base and address them before they affect month-end work.
As mentioned, surfacing this in a homepage widget would reduce the need to check individual files and make it easier to stay on top of feed status.

Client - Add a dedicated field for former names or historical aliases
Would it be possible to add a field under Client for Former name/s? As ASIC agent there are multiple scenarios of where we need to enter any former names for a client. It would be great to see a field under the client where we could add their maiden name etc.

Practice Manager | Invoices - Invoices of all status in once screen with a Paid indicator
Having the paid invoices in a separate archive folder is annoying. I used to be able to see the jobs and invoices in one screen, so having them separate is too many mouse clicks away and not immediately visible. Should be one screen for invoices, with a paid indicator next to it.

XPH | Tax Manager - Column showing outcome
In Tax Manager, Option to multiselect tax forms and lodge button. Similar to the Old tax returns window. It will be nice to have a column showing outcome for the form such as $$$ payable or Refundable. This will be more efficient.

XPH - Split Milestone Date and Description into separate, sortable report fields
Please could the Milestones on Reports not be consolidated into a single text field.
It would be much more useful if Reports had separate fields for:
Milestone Date
Milestone Text/NameAt the moment, the Milestone Date and Name are combined into one text field. Because of this, the field is treated as text rather than a true date field, which means sorting by date does not work properly. For example, milestones can appear in an incorrect order such as 1 May, 2 June, then 3 April.

Clients - Dashboard to view, search and audit all clients notes
Currently you have to go into a client to see notes relating to that client. It would be useful to have an option to see all notes, by client.

XPH - Multiple Master Admin
Multiple Master Admin
We need to have the option of multiple master admin! I am in a small practice and it makes it quite difficult to not have the few directors have then same access.
8 votesHi Jocelyn, appreciate the suggestion. Relying on a single Master Admin can create a bottleneck and adds risk if that person is unavailable. We understand that allowing multiple Master Admins would help share responsibility and improve continuity across the practice.
At the moment, Master Admin role is limited to one user. However, you can look into the Administrator role for the meantime. I’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can track interest and share it with our product teams.

XPH - Special characters especially on names
Getting people's names correct is table stakes.
My name has an accent on the e - Rémi - but it comes up on XPH as "Rémi". I would not want my staff's names, or client names, appearing amiss. Not sure if this would then flow through to invoices.
