Jobs - Reduce whitespace
The new beta job creation doesn't do anything the old one didn't do, everything is just either bigger or surrounded by more white space so there's less information on screen at once. It feels great on a touchscreen on an iPad, but I would assume most users are on a desktop where the experience is now just worse.
57 votesThanks for your feedback on our updates to Jobs within the practice experiences beta. Our team are following and considering all feedback we receive through this forum very closely and I'll be sure to let you know if there are any updates.

XPH | Homepage - Ability to Filter Jobs
It would be helpful to add additional filters to the jobs on the dashboard so that you could filter out certain job states and see true workflow for jobs that are due at that point in time.
34 votesAppreciate you letting us know how filters on the Jobs widget in the new XPH homepage would be useful.
We're keen to get a better idea of the number of users that'd also find this helpful. Feel free to share the link to this idea with other colleagues that'd find this useful too!
We'll share if there are any updates for you here.

XPH - Ability to merge jobs
Ability to merge jobs rather than moving timesheets.
17 votesHi Sue, thanks for sharing this! A merge feature for jobs could make managing duplicates much easier and help keep your records accurate and up to date. It would ensure that notes, tasks, and time entries all stay in one place, giving you a clearer view of each job’s progress and profitability.
We’ve moved this along to Gaining Support so the product team can see how useful a merge tool could be.

Xero HQ - Display 'Start Date' column in Client and Group job lists
The list of jobs at a client level and Group level no longer displays the start date. Only due date is showing.
This functionality was available before. I am not sure why it was omitted. Helps team members to review and prioritise jobs for a Group based on the start date when the job was received or has been scheduled to start.17 votesThank you for sharing your idea and highlighting the changes that are most important to you.
Your idea has been reviewed and is now open for community support. We encourage you to share it with colleagues who may benefit, so they can add their vote.

XPH - Add My Jobs widget to the homepage
Having to navigate to the "Job Manager" tab to view a list of all my jobs is not very practical. It would make far more sense to see all your jobs in the homepage. For the people who do not want this feature, there can be an option to hide this widget.
11 votesHi Cherry, thanks for sharing this idea! It’s clear that not having “My Jobs” on the homepage adds extra clicks and makes it harder to keep on top of daily priorities.
As a workaround in the meantime, the Jobs table on the homepage does have filters — you can filter the jobs by Assigned to me as staff, Assigned to me as manager, or Assigned to me as partner to help focus on the tasks relevant to you. Still, we know a dedicated homepage widget would make this even smoother.
I’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can track interest and see how many in the community would benefit. Your votes and comments help our product team understand the impact, so please keep them coming!

XPH | Jobs : Ability to move Job Costs (Disbursements) between jobs
In Xero, job costs entered under the Cost tab are locked to a job once created.
If a cost is allocated to the wrong job (wrong financial year, wrong client, duplicate job, or job later cancelled), users must currently reverse, delete, or manually re‑import the cost. This creates:
High admin overhead
Reconciliation issues between Xero and XPM
Increased risk of errors and missed costs
Frustration when compared to how easily timesheets can be movedThis issue occurs frequently in practice firms managing annual jobs, recurring subscriptions, and multi‑year work.
Ideally, maybe we can move them to the correct job as…
6 votesThanks for starting this conversation. When a cost is allocated to the wrong job, having to delete and recreate it can be time-consuming and can add extra steps to keep job costs accurate. An option to edit or move a cost between jobs would make this much simpler and reduce rework.
I’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can track interest and share it with our product teams for consideration.

XPH | Jobs - Add contrast to the new job creation design
The new beta job creation doesn't do anything the old one didn't do, everything is just either bigger or surrounded by more white space so there's less information on screen at once. It feels great on a touchscreen on an iPad, but I would assume most users are on a desktop where the experience is now just worse.

XPH | Jobs - Enter Time should default to last end time in your timesheet
Enter Time - you have to put in start time. It should default to your last time entry like it does under view timesheets.

We'll keep a close watch and let you know if there are any updates planned for this here.

XPH - Add a "WIP Value ($)" column to the Jobs list
Can a column be added to see the WIP value in $dollars rather than a percent, this makes it a lot clearer to see time spent on a job.
4 votesHi Amy, thanks for taking the time to share this idea.
It sounds like being able to see the dollar value of Work in Progress (WIP) directly within the Jobs list would give much better visibility over workload and billing readiness. Having unbilled time and costs displayed at a glance, without needing to open each job or run a separate report, would make it easier to quickly spot what’s ready to invoice.
I’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can track interest and help our product teams understand how adding a WIP value column could support a smoother billing workflow and clearer visibility across jobs.

Clients | Jobs - Ability to search
Please add "Search Function" under the client Jobs - same as in the job manager in order to search for specific "current" and "archived" jobs, the sort function is not sufficient.

Xero Partner Hub | Homepage - Add in a Work in Progress Widget
Next to monitoring Debtors, Work In Progress is one of the most important areas of a Practice to monitor. If this figure is not not regularly evaluated, then Cash Flow is directly affected, which will be of concern particularly over the next 2 years.
Again this is directly tied in with Client Jobs and their various DeadlinesAlso I have seen quite a number of Practices sold, with a large WIP that should have been completed and converted into Debtors.
1 voteHi Michael. We understand the ask in having a quick, at-a-glance view of Work in Progress (WIP) to help with billing and cash flow visibility. At the moment, this information is available through existing Work in Progress Reports.
We’ll track the demand on this idea, and keep this updated if there’s any progress to share.

Staff Assigned column in Job Manager should list more than one name
I would like to see at a glance the staff assigned to each job and there is a Staff Assigned column in Job Manager which should enable this. It should list all staff names, or at least the top three. Currently, it only shows one name which is useless, especially as that name is myself as I am first in alphabetical order and as my name is also shown in the manager and partner columns. So I can see my name in three columns and no other staff names!
There is a + sign which can be clicked on to…

Workflow Widget is not efficient
Hi Team
I have been trialling the new Partner Hub for awhile now and keep reverting back to the old version simply because of the Jobs Widget. In the old version I could see the state of all my jobs at a glance on the left hand side. I have a GST job state set up so that I just click on that job to complete and file their GST returns. The new widget does not display enough jobs so I have to click into the jobs module, then click into filters and select GST filter then click on the…

timer
Keeping track of all of my time, both billable and non-billable, is always a challenge. I find the timer hard to keep visible and it is difficult to switch jobs quickly. I have been trying toggl timer and the concept works exceptionally well - it would be the best if the way you can flip back and forth between daily tasks would be an absolute game changer to ensure that all time is entered, even with value billing.

Projects - Suggestion for scrollable or expandable jobs list on the Dashboard widget
Ability to scroll through jobs on Dashboard.
List in Widget to be able to scroll through.
4 votesHi Jacqui,
Thanks for this suggestion! I’ve moved your idea into Gaining Support.
Currently, the Projects widget on the dashboard only shows a handful of your most recent or active jobs. If you have a larger list, you have to click away from the dashboard to see them all.
I can see how a scrollable list would be a huge benefit for project managers who want to keep an eye on everything from one screen! I’ve updated the title to "Projects - Suggestion for scrollable or expandable jobs list on the Dashboard widget" to help other members find and vote for it.
Quick Tip for now: Don't forget that you can also use the JAX (Just Ask Xero) assistant on your dashboard. You can ask "Show me the status of [Project Name]" to get a quick update without leaving the page while we wait for more votes on this idea!

Workpapers - Ability to attach to multiple jobs
It would be so useful if there was an ability to have workpapers attached to multiple jobs - EG Workpapers created for the 2026 attached to all BAS/IAS jobs, FBT, Annuals

XPM - Automating Recurring Compliance Jobs using selected client onboarding options options
Suggestion:
When onboarding a new client in Xero, it would significantly improve efficiency if recurring compliance jobs could be automatically generated based on a few initial inputs.
For example, during client setup, include fields such as:
Company registration date
Is the company registered for PAYE? (Yes/No)
VAT registered? (Yes/No)
UIF registered? (Yes/No)Based on these selections, Xero could automatically generate recurring jobs with the correct deadlines aligned to South African Revenue Service requirements, such as:
EMP201 returns due monthly (e.g. by the 7th of the following month)
VAT201 returns generated bi-monthly with submission deadlines
UIF declarations
Companies and Intellectual Property…1 voteThank you for taking the time to share this idea in such detail 😊
We can definitely see the value in this, especially for practices managing compliance work across multiple clients in South Africa. The ability to automatically generate recurring compliance jobs when setting up a new client could save a significant amount of manual effort, reduce the risk of missed deadlines, and create a more consistent onboarding experience for firms.
The examples you’ve included are especially helpful. Using client setup details like registration date and whether a client is registered for PAYE, VAT, or UIF to trigger the right recurring jobs and deadlines makes a lot of sense. We can also see how the ability to apply a reusable template, such as a South African Compliance Pack, would make this even more valuable for firms that want a repeatable and standardised process.
Because of that, we’re moving this idea…
