  1. The new beta job creation doesn't do anything the old one didn't do, everything is just either bigger or surrounded by more white space so there's less information on screen at once. It feels great on a touchscreen on an iPad, but I would assume most users are on a desktop where the experience is now just worse.

    Thanks for your feedback on our updates to Jobs within the practice experiences beta. Our team are following and considering all feedback we receive through this forum very closely and I'll be sure to let you know if there are any updates.

  2. Since the recent updates, we've noticed that once a return is marked as “archived”, it no longer appears within the job it was originally created in. Previously, archived returns remained accessible through the job.

    Could you please reinstate the ability to view archived returns within their associated job?

    Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback on archived returns in jobs. We appreciate you sharing how important it is to keep archived returns visible within their original jobs for practice management.

    This idea has now moved to Gaining support, which means our community team have reviewed it and it's open for community support through votes and comments. We encourage others who would find this helpful to add their votes and share how this could benefit their workflow.

  3. It would be helpful to add additional filters to the jobs on the dashboard so that you could filter out certain job states and see true workflow for jobs that are due at that point in time.

    Appreciate you letting us know how filters on the Jobs widget in the new XPH homepage would be useful.

  4. The list of jobs at a client level and Group level no longer displays the start date. Only due date is showing.
    This functionality was available before. I am not sure why it was omitted. Helps team members to review and prioritise jobs for a Group based on the start date when the job was received or has been scheduled to start.

    Hi Sue, thanks for sharing this! A merge feature for jobs could make managing duplicates much easier and help keep your records accurate and up to date. It would ensure that notes, tasks, and time entries all stay in one place, giving you a clearer view of each job’s progress and profitability.

    We’ve moved this along to Gaining Support so the product team can see how useful a merge tool could be.

  10. Having to navigate to the "Job Manager" tab to view a list of all my jobs is not very practical. It would make far more sense to see all your jobs in the homepage. For the people who do not want this feature, there can be an option to hide this widget.

    Hi Cherry, thanks for sharing this idea! It’s clear that not having “My Jobs” on the homepage adds extra clicks and makes it harder to keep on top of daily priorities.

    As a workaround in the meantime, the Jobs table on the homepage does have filters — you can filter the jobs by Assigned to me as staff, Assigned to me as manager, or Assigned to me as partner to help focus on the tasks relevant to you. Still, we know a dedicated homepage widget would make this even smoother.

    I’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can track interest and see how many in the community would benefit. Your votes and comments help our product team understand the impact, so please keep them coming!

  12. Please add "Search Function" under the client Jobs - same as in the job manager in order to search for specific "current" and "archived" jobs, the sort function is not sufficient.

    Hi Josef, I can totally see how a "Priority" column could be a real game-changer for practice management. When you’ve got a long list of client jobs, it helps to see instantly which ones need attention right away and which can wait.

    For now, some partners find it helpful to use the Job Status or Due Date columns to sort tasks, or even add a visual cue in the Job Name to highlight urgent work.

    We’ve moved this idea to ‘Gaining Support’ so our product teams can see the impact. We’d love to hear your thoughts on how this can be impactful to you.

  15. When I am in a client file and go into the jobs to update one of my tasks, its very frustrating that it opens the job in a new tab! I end up with too many unnecessary tabs open just to navigate from one screen to another!

  16. The old home page in XPM used to show all my jobs grouped by job status and in the processing order. For example "Not In" then "Drafting" then "Resolving Queries" then "In Review" then "Finalising".
    Now I have to click onto a another page to see all my jobs (not so bad as just one click). BUT if I try to sort by status it sorts on alphabetical order instead of stage in the process. For example "Drafting" then "Finalising" then "In Review" then "Not In" then "Resolving Queries". It is not an easy or instinctive way to review your…

  17. Please return the facility that was in XPM whereby an archived TR or AS still showed in the to which it is attached. It makes it incredibly difficult now to get an overall view of the completed AS during the year. Having archived TR or AS disappearing from the job is incredibly inconvenient.

    Thanks for raising this, Andrea — and for clearly outlining how the current placement of the “Email to Client” button is affecting your workflow.

    It sounds like those extra clicks at the final step of a return can really slow things down.

  20. It would be so useful if there was an ability to have workpapers attached to multiple jobs - EG Workpapers created for the 2026 attached to all BAS/IAS jobs, FBT, Annuals
