  1. The ability to select multiple tax returns that are completed and have the quick action to approve or move it to out to sign or to sign state in the old Xero Practice Manager - Tax Manager is great. Unfortunately, this was removed in the new Beta version. Please bring this back.

    It's annoying to file a tax return we need to open one by one. Ok if we only have 1 or 2. At some point we can have more than 10 returns to lodge at the same time.

    Hi everyone, we understand interest and how bulk action in the new Tax Manager would improve efficiency when preparing tax for your clients.

    Tax Manager is a new experience that is currently in beta in Xero Partner Hub. Bulk actions high on the list of what's coming soon as we build features into this experience.

    We appreciate the importance of bulk actions to everyone here and will be sure to update you all as soon as this is rolled out.

  2. All, Draft,Completed,Approved, To sign etc... each of these are now on the left side instead of the old version of them on the top - which is fine. BUT

    In the old version I could see I had 10 to approve and the admin team could see they have 12 to send out. Can we have the numbers back?

    Hi everyone, we appreciate your feedback and would like to share an update on this idea.

    Tax Manager is a new feature currently in beta and was released early to give users access to ready to start returns and the lodgment widget.

    There are a number of additional features being worked on to enhance Tax Manager that you can read up about on Xero Central, and you'll also notice a 'Coming soon' button within Tax Manager to see what's in the pipeline.

    Showing the count of returns based on their status is something we're currently working on and I'll share again here when this is released. Thanks for your contributions on product ideas.

  3. "Ready to Start" tax returns should not show up in existing jobs. We have all these tax returns that are showing up in Job that are not related to the client, Individual Tax Return showing up under an Activity Statement Job for a company that is completely unrelated. If they tax returns placeholder is going be added it should only appear under the client tax return tab, not in an existing Job. And there should be away to turn it off.

    Hi team, taking on board feedback there are several changes our team are working on to solve the pain points raised by customers around 'Ready to start' returns within new Tax Manager.

    To give an idea of what's coming - we're working to;

    • only show ready to start returns on "active" jobs
    • limit ready to start returns to 25 on a page
    • change for identify related clients to only be where there is a relationship or they're in the same "taxable" client group

    I'll keep you updated here as these changes are implemented.

    Thanks for your feedback here, everyone. We appreciate hearing how we can keep developing Tax Manager to better your experience.

    As you may be aware Tax Manager is currently in beta and was released early for some users so you could access ready to start returns and the lodgment widget.

    We're currently working on other features to build on this feature and you can stay up to date with what's in the pipeline on our Xero central page.

    Filtering by partners and managers is on our radar too, and I'll shift the idea to Accepted for now, and be sure to share any progress for this here.

  5. Where has the function gone from the filed tab showing when a clients Notice of Assessment has been received back from the ATO.

  6. In Tax Manager, Option to multiselect tax forms and lodge button. Similar to the Old tax returns window. It will be nice to have a column showing outcome for the form such as $$$ payable or Refundable. This will be more efficient.

  7. You can apply filters, but it would be good to be able to save filters so that they can be used again. Basically the same function that is in Job Manager.

    Hi team, really good to hear your feedback on what could improve your experience with new Tax Manager which is currently in beta.

    We're listening to the feedback we're receiving about this from our community and while not in the works just yet, the ability to save custom filters is a feature we plan to develop.

    You can get more of a view of what's to come in Tax Manager through Xero Central, and I'll keep you updated here once this idea progresses with the team.

    Appreciate you sharing your feedback on the Tax Manager beta, Serge. Our product team are paying close attention to the feedback we're receiving on this to understand how we can keep developing this experience. I'll be sure to share if there are any plans for providing this visibility of the status of a return.

  9. The returns ready to start from the ATO list need to also contain clients on ATO list not in xero tax so that we can use this list as our master list to clean up ATO clients/add new ones that may have been missed.

    Hi team, we can see how having the Ready to Start list in Tax Manager to include ATO clients missing from XPM/Xero Tax could make cross checking your clients list more efficient. Using this list as a single source to clean up or add missed clients sounds like a practical way to reduce extra steps.

    This idea is now in Gaining Support, so it’s open for the community to vote and comment. If this would help your day-to-day work, we encourage you to add your vote and share your perspective—hearing how it could help in different situations gives the Product team a clearer picture of its value.

    Hi Natalie, appreciate your idea about including prior year returns in the Ready to Start list. We can see how this could make workflows in Tax Manager a bit more straightforward.

  11. The Tax Manager would be improved if it could be sorted by Group, or at least allow us to add the Group column. This would enable a quick reference for one client with multiple entities.

  13. Where are the tax return settings hiding? Important that we have easy access to these

    Some suggestions for improving the 'old' settings in the new partner hub:
    * A simpler Income Tax Client Report request would be great for quickly updating due dates
    I.e Settings > Tax Agents > Select Agent > Update ATO Income Tax Client Report
    * Can we have a feature that flags TFN's that are no longer on our ATO Income Tax Client Report - so that we can easily identify and archive old clients
    * A simpler way of updating Tax Agent details would be…
