    Hi team, we appreciate the interest and feedback around surcharging. While this is something our product teams reviewed we want to be open that this isn't something we have plans for developing at this time.

    For now, surcharging will continue to be a % fee with no flat rate fee option.

    We're continuing to watch the support for this here and will share if there are any updates.

    I agree, this is a critical feature that Xero doesn't yet support. It shouldn't be a huge development project making this happen. Today we have to decide if we want to overcharge our NZ customers with 1% (which is illegal) or have a loss on our AU customers by 1%, because we only have one input value for "pass on processing fee" to our customers. The sooner the better so our sales margins don't have to be eaten up by these significant credit card fees.
