Hi community, we really appreciate your feedback on this and hearing why you'd like to be able to change the organisation's name that's shown when sending invoices from Xero.
This is on our teams radar, and is something they may look into longer term however we want to be open that it's not in the current roadmap.
We'll continue to track and keep across the interest from our community, and if there's any news to share we'll update you on this, here.

It is very frustrating that the Legal/Trading name appears prominently at the top of the email, in fact it is more prominent than the logo.
This is definitely a problem for branding of our business.
There really should be an option to turn this line of text off or customise it. Its a bit strange because you can customise nearly all the other components of the invoice templates and email except for this line. So why is it not possible to customise this line of text?
Xero Support suggest this is likely due to legal requirements in some jurisdictions that mandate the display of a company's legal name on invoices.
Well that may be the case, but shouldn't that be up to the Xero user to determine that legal requirement and not Xero to force it upon the user? In fact it is not the actual invoice we are talking about it is a heading line contained in the email sent to the customer. So it makes no legal sense that you can edit the actual tax invoice (which would be the legal document) to state what ever business trading name branding you like, but then the Organisation's name on the heading of the email can't be changed.
Scratching my head with this one.
Please Xero lets get this fixed up now, seems like it would be a simple fix to just give the user the control as they have with editing the invoice templates.
