Account Transactions: Receipts - Send automated 'payment received' e-mail when payment is reconciled
536 votesHi everyone, we totally get how automating the sending of receipts when a transaction is reconciled would free up time and the manual task involved in this activity.
Though not in the pipeline at present, this is a feature our product team would like to explore more in the future.
We’ll be sure to update you all again when we are able to look into this deeper. Thanks

Hi team, we appreciate there is some interest in this idea, however at this time we don't have any plans for enabling bulk send of receipts.
For now, we'll continue to track the support in this idea. I'll share if there are any updates.

Hi - I would like to ask if this a feature Xero could add asap. I run a childcare business with over 150 participants and all the parents need payment receipts to be able to claim back from Universal Credits. It is very time sensitive and the payment receipts need to be emailed immediately and is a very time consuming job.
Pls can you keep me updated to if/when this feature will be included in Xero. It is really very important to me!
Could this be made as an option? Obviously not all customers will need to use it but that it should be available if required. What woul dbe a reason for not including it in Xero?
I have been made aware that other financial programs do offer it. I have a colleague using Freeagent and I attach a couple of screenshots where yu can see the option to enable automted Thank you notes to costomers upon payment receipt.
I tried auto receipts. Whereas it does work, it is only a basic acknowledgment in the body of an email.
My customers require an official pdf receipt i.e. the payment receipts that xero produces manually now, as they can claim 85% of their costs back from HMRC and need to send an official and properly formatted receipt as proof of their payment.
And with over a hundred customers paying in each month, it is rather onerous using xero to have to manually send the receipts each week.
It remains an outstanding mystery to me why xero won't update their software to include this. It is not a change that will affect users who don't need this feature and will immeasurably enhance the Xero experience and save masses of time got those Xero users who do need this feature.
Perhaps Xero have become to big and pompously don't care anymore about small users requests. And not even to at least explain why they won't incorporate this feature, rather than a flat out no.
