The current "reverse adjustment" method makes our inventory reports difficult to read and increases the risk of further errors during the correction process. Having a "Void" option for owners would greatly improve our confidence in using Xero for tracked inventory.

I hope XERO will consider this for a future update.

Subject: Feature Request: Ability for Account Owners to Edit or Void Inventory Adjustments

    Message:

    Hi Xero Team,

I am writing to provide feedback regarding the Inventory Adjustment module. Currently, once an inventory adjustment is posted, it cannot be edited or deleted. While I understand the importance of an audit trail, this lack of flexibility creates significant issues when a staff member makes a "miss entry" or a data input error.

As a business owner, I would like to see the following functionality implemented:

    - Void/Delete Capability: The ability for the Subscriber or Standard + Admin users to void an incorrect adjustment rather than having to create a second "reversing" adjustment.

    - Edit Functionality for Drafts/Pending: A way to "Roll back" an adjustment to a draft state to correct typos in unit costs or quantities.

    - Permission-Based Control: I believe this power should be restricted to high-level users (Owners/Advisers) so that the audit trail remains secure while still allowing the owner to "fix the books" without panic or creating messy, unnecessary entries.

The current "reverse adjustment" method makes our inventory reports difficult to read and increases the risk of further errors during the correction process. Having a "Void" option for owners would greatly improve our confidence in using Xero for tracked inventory.

I hope you will consider this for a future update.

    Best regards,

    Richsan
