Thanks for sharing your idea, currently you can't reorder the employees in the pay run or when you download the payslips in bulk. I understand how that flexibility might be a benefit.

Hi team, appreciate raising this idea with us. As noted by others right now it is possible to delete a repeating journal.
If you need to repeat the journal again in the future you could turn one of the previously posted journals into a Repeat journal to start this up again.
We don't have any plans for adding an archive option in the short term but will continue to watch the interest for this here.

I was just about to do this - then realised it isn't an option!
I'm not a fan of deleting, so archiving is certainly a required option here.Clare Wilson

Thanks for this feedback on how pension enrollment currently works in Xero payroll. It’s been a little while since you raised this idea, so we wanted to check in. We can see this idea has been steadily gaining support. Our product team are keeping an eye on this idea and we will continue to share updates as things evolve.
In the meantime, here's a tip to trigger pension assessment before posting the pay run:
- With the pay run in draft click Post.
- When the Automatic pension enrolment pop up displays, click Confirm.
- On the Complete Pay Run pop up, click Cancel.
- You can now open the draft payslip or download pay run reports with the pension deductions included.

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing your feedback. We appreciate you explaining how important access to reports on draft pay runs is for your workflows, especially for client approvals and pre-submission checks.
Our product team is currently looking into payroll reporting improvements as part of a wider review, however adding additional reports to draft pay runs is not something that’s on their foreseeable roadmap.
Currently you can download payslips, P32 and Payroll Activity Details/Summary reports from draft pay runs. These provide a breakdown of employee earnings and employer liabilities, which can be used for pre-checks before submitting your pay run to HMRC.
Please continue to support other ideas, as this helps our product teams know what's important to you.

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing how important streamlining P45 distribution is for your payroll workflow.
It’s not currently possible to send P45’s directly from Xero. Our product team is actively exploring ways to enhance employee self-service features. While specific plans for this feature are not yet finalised for the immediate roadmap, this area remains a key focus for future development. We've moved this idea to Accepted.
We'll keep you posted if anything changes. In the meantime, you can download P45s from Xero and send them via your usual email software.

Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback on having Xero automatically calculate AEO & DEA as a percentage. We appreciate you sharing how you're currently managing these deductions in payroll.
As you’ve found, the existing Earnings Order pay item requires deductions to be manually calculated, which we understand impacts your workflows for employees with variable earnings.
We want to be upfront that there aren't any current plans to develop this in Xero payroll.
While automated calculations for Earnings Orders aren't on the foreseeable roadmap, we will continue to monitor interest in this space. Thanks for continuing to shape the future of Xero.

Hi team, we'd like to share another update as work for allowing direct wage payments via open banking with Crezco is well underway.
We look forward to updating everyone on this idea as soon as this is released.
As previously mentioned - we want to be upfront that we don't have any plans for extending the payment file export format to CSV, however direct payments will eliminate the need for a manual export saving you a few steps in this process. 🙂

Hello everyone, while you can currently export reports to compare pay runs, we understand the value of having this capability built directly into Xero and have been following this idea closely.
For now, AU and UK organisations can use the Payroll Activity Details report for one employee at a time by selecting the relevant date range for the pay periods. To help prevent errors, we recommend checking that employee pay templates are set up correctly, ensuring future pay runs are consistent and accurate.
Although this isn’t on our roadmap at present, we recognise the impact it'd have for customers and will continue to consider it as we plan future payroll enhancements. We’ll share any updates related to payroll comparatives here.

We are just about to start using Xero Payroll, and currently with our manual payroll journal we split all Director costs out from everyone else, but will not be able to do so with the automatic journal in relation to Directors NI - is it possible to review this request, as it would save us having to manually amend the automatic journal, or create another one to reallocate their costs?

We are going live with Xero payroll this month - previous provider has run a parallel run for us so we could compare - all agrees other than they have added the apprenticeship levy to our reports, which I am only just realising Xero doesn't seem to include!
Is anyone successfully using Xero Payroll, but reporting this levy to HMRC another way?
I cannot believe it isn't part of the Payroll process - we are not a large company, we only have 28 employees but we have a significant payroll bill and therefore have triggered this levy.
Any tips much appreciated - or if Xero could feedback on this would also be great!
