We request the addition of a dedicated Firm Client ID field within each client record in Xero. An internal identifier is essential for firms managing multiple clients. It enables consistent tracking, streamlined reporting, improved data integrity, and better integration with external systems.
We also recommend allowing a small number of firm-specific custom fields within the client record (e.g., to indicate whether a Master Services Agreement is in place). This would support firm-level administrative tracking without relying on workarounds.
Many competing platforms already offer this functionality. Adding it to Xero would materially improve client management efficiency for firms operating at scale.
