Hi Danielle, when you say you'd like to post an application. Could quotes potentially be a fit for this purpose here? Otherwise could you share a bit more detail on what would be needed to record the application in Xero.

Hi community, while we're continuing to keep a close eye on the support for this idea here, we don't have any plans in the near term to control the naming of files sent form Xero.
Just to share, though appreciate many will already be aware, once the file is received and downloaded by the recipient the file name can be manually edited on their local device.
If there are any plans made we'll share here.

This is a must to implement. You can change all the fields, email template and content of the documents. You obviously need to be able to change the document title to match.
I am using a customised quote template as application for payments since there it's no application for payment section (which should also be an option as standard practice in the construction industry) and it's time consuming to download, rename and send outside of Xero and also creates issues keeping track

Payment applications are essential for construction businesses and surprised this is not a feature on Xero could really simplify the process and save a lot of time and keep track of them more effectively
