Hi team, with Xero Analytics you'll be able to use the Cash flow manager to get useful predictions of your businesses financial overview, cash in and cash out.
Right now, we're in the process of also developing a widget that can surface some of this information to you directly from the homepage. I'll return to share once this is live. 🙂

✨ Thanks so much for sharing your feedback on being able to blur or conceal sensitive bank information on the new Xero homepage.
Our community team have reviewed this idea and it’s now in Gaining support, which means it’s open for votes and comments from other customers who’d also benefit from more privacy controls on the homepage. ✨
While we’re still exploring additional options but there are a couple of protections already in place today:
- ✨ Access to banking information on the homepage is controlled by user roles and permissions, so only users with the right level of access can see sensitive banking data. This is the Invoice Only permissions.
- ✨ You can customise the homepage to show or hide bank accounts, so you’re not surfacing accounts you don’t want on your dashboard.

Thanks for sharing this idea and how the new homepage impacts your workflow.
Right now, you can:
- Use Customise homepage to add or remove whole widgets (including Bank accounts and Chart of accounts watchlist), and
- Choose which bank accounts appear in the Bank accounts widget, and which GL accounts appear in the Chart of accounts watchlist via Select/Edit accounts.
There isn’t a broader option to hide individual GL accounts across the homepage, and this isn’t on our current roadmap, so we’re moving this idea to Gaining support so others can vote and add their use cases.
While we can’t commit to a change here right now, your feedback is logged and will be considered as we continue to iterate on the new homepage experience.

Hi there!
Thanks for sharing such detailed feedback on the bank balance charts.
I’ve categorized this as Gaining Support. While we don't roll back to previous versions of the homepage, I’ve refined your idea to focus on making the balance charts configurable (1, 3, 6, or 12 months).
This covers your need for historical data while allowing for future flexibility.
Since our forum works best with one idea per post, I've focused on the chart visibility first. I’d recommend raising the "balance projection" as a separate suggestion so it can be voted on individually!

The previous Xero Homepage version had a version of this on the homepage, for each bank account, plotting the cash/bank balance position, showing tracking over time.
The equivalent bank account widgets just have balances in numbers, deleting the graph.
The new widgets & visual side-by-side bar graphs of 'cash in, cash out' or the Short-term Cash flow report, with the over/under bars are not as helpful for a clear overall picture.
Side-by side bars or stacked over/under bars still require an amount of mental gymnastics (or actual calculation or data extract) to arrive at an overall +/- position.
