    Hi team, we appreciate the interest and feedback around surcharging. While this is something our product teams reviewed we want to be open that this isn't something we have plans for developing at this time.

    For now, surcharging will continue to be a % fee with no flat rate fee option.

    We're continuing to watch the support for this here and will share if there are any updates.

    YES, this fee should not be taken out of the invoices issued, it should be clearly charged ontop of the invoiced amount so the customer is aware of the cost of using that processing method. STRIPE shows a fee "Xero application fee" taken out of each invoiced amount which I do not agree with. Then the option within XERO to add a fee % manually for EVERY transaction is also not viable, for example clients overseas are 3.5% and locally its 1.8% so that will surely create issues. XERO should be adding their fees during the processing of the payment so it is clear to the customer and not impacting small business who already charge a restricted amount on the invoice!
