Sorry to hear you're not liking the refresh of the Files inbox, Felicity. The intention is to make managing and working with your files simpler and more efficient.
Just to confirm, when you say this has added extra clicks for you - would that be the need to go to the Archived tab to access a fioder you've moved a file to?

Hi team, appreciate the continued feedback and hearing the needs around this idea. We understand there different workflows in which a document may be attached to a transactions that has already been recorded.
We are pleased to share that this is in the process of rolling out with Smart document capture and auto-match that's currently in beta with AU and NZ.
Auto-match compares details of your document against the transactions already in your organisation and will auto attach if it finds a match. 🙂
You can read up more on this feature on Xero Central and I'll round back to share once it's fully released.

Hi Julie, thanks for sharing this idea. We understand that having more control over how documents move through Files would help make document management workflows smoother.
The suggestion is to add an option to bypass or disable the Smart Document Capture review process, so documents can be stored directly without needing manual review.
We’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can continue to track interest.

Yes please give us the option to bypass/remove "Review"! Not the most thought through idea, this new feature. It is wasting my time! Before: select file, choose create bill, enter details, approve. done. Now there's another step involved where I have to access contact, find the bill, edit details (as autofill is a disaster), approve. Then up on my screen pops another file (that I don't want to do anything with).
