I had to turn this feature off as the auto reconciliation does not copy the detail from the transaction and I found it was allocating the transaction incorrectly with little details. I think it would be fine for those who are not detail orientated.
I ended up fixing most of the auto reconciled items so its easier to just do it myself at this point.

Hi team, I’m back again as the ability to accept deposits with Stripe has been released to the majority of regions (UK, US, NZ, AU SG, and CA) with sights set to get this to 100% asap.

Additionally to the feature we first rolled out, we've now added a due date field that allows you to set a specific date you expect payment of the deposit to be received and will be visible when sent to your customer.

Thanks again for your involvement in the idea here and helping us evolve Xero to better suit the needs of our customers.

Please make this feature available without having to use Stripe - none of our clients use that platform, usually eft from their account to ours

We do not use stripe, is there any way to use the 'request a deposit' function without it?
It would be very useful for some of our larger clients who pay a deposit, (sometimes 2 deposits and a final payment), to get the job started, they also pay into our bank account?
