  2. In the olden days when you paid an individual bill the system would take you back the awaiting payments screen with two options - view bill or send remittance. Can we please have this back. More recently when paying a single bill you would have around 5 seconds to click on send remittance - that is now gone. Annoyingly you have to change a number of screens to locate the paid bill and then click on the payment and remit from there. Very inefficient. Please revert to the old options.

  4. Invoices which have been created directly in Stripe are integrated with Xero so that the invoices import into Xero and then when payments are received, if payment is received via Stripe, this marks the invoice as paid to the bank account in Xero (which will then allow for reconciliation with the payment from Stripe) or if paid by a bank deposit these can be reconciled in Xero and will mark as paid in Stripe also.

  5. It would be nice to click into the bills that were paid via the new Xero Bill.com embed and see the ETA. This hits on the emails but if there's an update or delay, there's no way to see the updated ETA. Also, it would just be very convenient. Thanks.

  7. Bill pdf – to have a print function to print a Payment Voucher for Bill created via a template which user can customize and must contain bank payment details
    of supplier which is input in the Notes under supplier contact (see 1a above). This is to allow us to send the payment voucher manually to boss for boss to do the manual payment to supplier.
    Boss needs the supplier invoice details and the supplier bank payment details in supplier masters (see 1a) as well as a footer of Prepared by; Approved by and Acknowledge receipt on the

  8. I have a client that sometimes has 20+ inventory items on a bill, with similar description, but sizes different. They enter bill in a logical sequential order, but when you add them to the invoice, all to same invoice, its not split between different customers, the items are in a different order with no order, not even items code. IT frustrating client in the process to reorder the items it taking much longer

  9. Under the Bills and Invoices sections, could separate categories be introduced for overpayments and older bills from prior quarters? This would help declutter the Awaiting Payment section, especially for businesses with long credit terms, where bills may remain unpaid for several months.

  10. Please add option to show invoice values excl/incl tax in invoice list views

    Bulk invoice features. We would like to see more functionality added to the bulk editing in the sales overview/invoices:
    - Bulk editing of Due dates
    - Bulk editing of Expected date
    A more consistent 'Tally by checkbox' - this works really well in the invoices lists where a sum of all checked invoice values are shown but this feature is missing in invoice searches.

    Hi Jonas, it's best if we have each idea as a separate thread in the forums here so other members know exactly what they're adding their vote for and our product teams can gauge the interest in a specific feature.

    I see you've already found and voted for this idea on bulk editing expected date. I've also just added your vote to this idea on bulk date change, and I'll slightly amend the title of your idea here for the 'Tally by checkbox' when you have a search applied.

    While the current amount due shown on the list view will show as tax inclusive, if you'd like to view inclusive v exclusive you could run the Receivable Invoice Summary report where you have the option to add Gross, Net and Tax columns. Alternatively if there's a specific reason you'd like to view this from the list of invoices…

  12. There is a significant design flaw in the new Files UI:
    1. The delete button will remove an attachment on a single click, rather than prompting a confirmation.
    2. The 'View' file button is directly next to the delete button increasing the chance of accidentally clicking delete instead. Given the point above there's no way of recovering the attachment as clicking it will instantly remove that file.

    In the old invoicing you could simply click the file name to view rather than clicking a 'View' button. The delete button was under a cog and initiated a second click to confirm…

  13. Make the functionality of quotes similar to invoices, e.g. import quotes, bulk approve quotes, bulk send quotes. I recently had to send out 417 quotes for the same thing and they had to all be done individually which was extremely time consuming. If they had been invoices, I could've imported them on a spreadsheet, approved them all at once and sent them all at once. Instead each one had to be done individually.

    Appreciate your liking to invoices in Xero, Angela. Each functionality would need to be considered in isolation so I've changed the title of your idea here for bulk sending.

    We don't have any direct plans for this right now, but we'll begin to get a sense of the interest and keep you updated of any change, here.

    You'll find an existing idea for import/export of quotes that you may like to join as well. If there's any other feature like this that you'd like to see welcome to start another idea. 🙂

  14. The sum and subtract function in invoices is a great feature; it would be great to use it in expenses as well. I often have to itemise a gross expense total into separate items with different VAT treatments. It would be useful to subtract the itemised line amount from the gross total directly in Xero rather than using a calculator.

  15. New Invoicing - Show ABN details with Client details in the "To" section of the invoice. All other information is there for reference, excluding the ABN.
    To view the ABN details, you need to leave the invoice screen and go to Contacts.

  16. Currently, when filtering expenses by name, the settings reset to default each time an expense is opened and closed.

    Please update it so that the filter settings remain active, eliminating the need to reapply them for each expense viewed.

    Also, please add a date filter setting

  17. I work with 2 screens - when entering a bill it would be really useful to be able to view the xero transaction on one screen and view the attachment on the second screen. Currently the bills sometimes have such small print you have to really zoom in and move around the screen to be able to read it. I am aware you can open it as a separate document, but this wastes as much time trying to zoom etc. Many people now work with 2 screens so I think this would be a really useful function.

  19. Make it possible for imported invoices to be marked as sent when importing them.
    Perhaps an additional column in the template Mark as sent status "Y for sent N for not sent"
    If this is not possible the ability to bulk "mark as sent"
    this would eliminate the issue of individually opening each invoice to manually "mark as sent" to activate the auto invoice reminders

  20. Packing Slips need to print what is on screen. Xero how about you create a rule to check what is in the Packing Slip fields and make sure what is going to print also matches. Don't expect the users to have to check what they are printing actually comes out of the printer correctly.
    This is the response I got from my Trouble Ticket on this issue today, which suggests the users "wait a few moments to allow the auto save to complete."
    New invoicing is very frustrating, why should we have to wait for something that works perfectly well…
