  2. PDF attached to all invoices being sent out from Xero - we utilise Salesforce who triggers the email to send from Xero directly - however there is currently no options for PDF to be attached.
    We have numerous clients refusing to pay because they wont click the link to download an invoice and in the last few weeks the link now takes them to a screen to enter card details not a copy of the invoice causing more clients not willing to click the link (screenshot of new screen attached).   3. Ability to see Header rows and side columns on all screens when scrolling

    As per Microsoft Office where the top and side ribbons remains static.
    e.g. When you're in the Dashboard and scroll down it would be good if the top ribbon is static. It makes it easier to select another item (business; accounting; contact etc) without having to scroll up.

    The same with Bill Payments; Invoicing; reports etc where the top ribbon and column headers - see attached - would remain static as you scroll down the list.

    The same as when you might have a lot of columns…

  4. It is most annoying and time consuming to only be able to access half of the inventory items when raising an invoice. Instead one has to look up every item in the second half of the inventory, line by line before you can add it to an invoice. This is a step into the dark ages.

  6. We print packing slips for every invoice we print, since the changes xero has made it has added another step in out process, we are all about streamlining our processes. We would like to revert back to the old way as this is adding time and is also adding more unnecessary files to our computer system. please help us to streamline this process again as the current system doesn`t work for us

  7. In Australia, users need to be able to manually edit the amount of GST paid on a transaction. This is required because certain transactions (particularly grocery and pharmacy transactions) have a mixture of items, some of which have GST applied, and some that do not. Unfortunately, the receipts for these types of transactions do not indicate which specific items have incurred GST - they just have a total amount of GST paid on that receipt. As such, it would be great if users could just override the total amount of GST paid for those receipts. See attached for an example…

    Hi Lilly, with Xero expenses you can upload a copy of a receipt and have it auto capture the contents to create an expense through the app - See more on this here

    Is there a reason you'd prefer to email receipts to your org over the existing method? Will help when sharing back with the team. 

  10. New Invoicing problem - we are copying new invoices from the existing purchase orders and prices on the new invoices are showing as a cost price instead of the sales prices! :(((. A massive issue! Also, the new invoicing look is not user friendly with a lot of space on the screen. We were very happy with the current invoicing when everything was working perfectly, and the new invoicing does not work for us at all. Dear Xero developers, please do not fix what is not broken and leave the current invoicing as it is.

  11. AI automated Supplier Statement Reconciliation! To allow business to match the invoices in their bills to pay with the invoices shown on their suppliers statements to ensure none are missing and everyone is paid on time without delays. We are currently looking to outsource to external parties not related to xero to do this so it is possible to implement. But to have it centralised and available within xero would be great. By automating this process allows for focus towards other accounting and business aspects.

  12. Sticky header/footer for bank reconciliation (cash coding, bank statements and account transactions tabs). The idea is to not have to scroll down all the way to jump to a specific page or navigate to the next page. The option to navigate between pages must be easily accessible at all times.

  13. Can we add a function to import purchase order from excel file? We have had it as import bill already, but it is not enough because we need to use the PO function in Xero. However, it is time consuming and many mistakes due to manually entering our PO. It would be great if we can import from excel for both bill and PO function.

  14. Recipient-Created Tax Invoices (RCTI) are a normal thing in some industries. Xero is not set up to create them; instead we have to do a workaround with purchase orders.

    I'd like to not have to use the workaround.

    The workaround consists of:
    - creating RCTI branding themes
    - creating a purchase order for each entity needing RCTIs
    - edit that purchase order with the new details every time creation of an RCTI is needed (so in labour hire this can be every week for each contractor)
    - send the purchase order to the entity needing the RCTI (editing the email…

Update the search box to allow for search phrases to rank within the search box...not just exact matches. it's not particularly beneficial for a search query to result ONLY the exact match if you're searching for a match and probably don't know the exact phrase for a contact/business/customer.

    For example,

    "Jack Jones" produces no results when the contact is actually "John Jones".

    Searching "Jack Jones" should produce a result with all contacts that include either "jack" or "jones". Producing no results is not an accurate representation of the total database.

  16. Is there a way that within Xero Projects, we could have a field for "Project Number" and a seperate field for "Project Name".
    Unfortunately we have found that some duplication of project numbers can happen within Xero as the project name and project number are within the same field.

It would be really useful to be able to have a column in the 'awaiting payment' section where you can mark the group (i.e. Direct Debit) so when you're setting up Telleroo payments / batch payments, you can easily see which one's are Direct Debit suppliers without either running a payables report or clicking into the supplier to see which group they belong to

  18. You can only allocate payment on accounts to a customer ledger on Xero by clicking 'Overpayment' which is very long winded. Please can this be simplified to select the customer and then allocate straight as a 'payment on account' and then this can be allocated to the invoice once this is uploaded.

    In addition, if there is money out that gets contra'd against money received from a client, there is no way of coding this to the customer ledger.

  19. We are a subscription based business, so it would be great to be able to bulk update repeating invoice amounts. Either by selecting all the ones we'd like to change or by pushing through new inventory/product/service price changes. At the moment we have to change every single repeating invoice and this takes hours and hours!

    Thanks for the feedback and great to hear the use you find in repeat templates in Xero. 


    While there's no way to bulk update templates atm, you may find updating your templates through export & import of invoices more helps quicken things up?


    You could export invoices that have been generated from your template to CSV, update the amounts in the exported file, and then re-import

    This will create 'Draft' invoices in your Xero org from which you can create a Repeat template and then delete the draft. 🙂

  20. In New Invoicing can the Date field be left blank when in draft status as per previously. Regularly I create draft invoices and want to continue to be able to leave the date blank or to put tentative dates in before moving forwards int he process.
