EU Invoice: Ability to switch comma/decimal format
Currently in European Countries except for the United Kingdom, the comma is used as a decimal separator not the dot.
Europe: x.,xx i.e. €1.250,55
UK: x,.xx i.e. £1,250.55For those Xero users invoicing to Europe countries It would be great if we could change the format of these numeric separators to better conform to European countries.
The only ability we have at the moment to customise this is to remove the comma separator completely and have no decimal places.

Projects - Change behaviour of how multi-currency is calculated in reports
Profitability of projects not correct. We are setting up projects in Xero. We have found the profit figures are not accurate where there are a mixture of GBP and US$ bills. Could you please forward to your development team. It can't be that difficult for projects to pick up a translated figure surely??

Purchase - Add schedule payment date from within the transaction
Payment Schedule Date - add from other screens
Make it easier to schedule payment dates. I love the ability to schedule payment dates but it is only available from one screen. It would be great to be able to add a schedule payment date from within the purchase. That would mean you could approve and schedule from the one screen.

Repeating Invoices - Don't revert to Draft when the template owner is removed
Stop repeating invoices being changed to draft when the author/owner/user that added it has been deleted.
Right now when a repeating invoice template has been created by a user who has since been deleted, the repeating invoice template option will be reverted to 'save as draft'.

Purchase Order - Next page arrows to switch between purchase orders
Would like to see a next page arrow in the purchase orders like in files when you can move to the next file OR Purchase order really easy and see the whole thing without having to open new tabs the whole time to view the next one.

Projects | Tabs - Ability to filter by status
To add Sort and Filter into Quotes & Invoices and Task & expenses inside a Project, so we can filter by Price/Status/Draft/Awaiting payment/Paid or sort we we want it
2 votesHi Millena, is there a specific reason you'd like to do this in the Project tabs versus in a report?
We have similar ideas for the ability to filter by status in reports so trying to understand if there are extra needs here or if we should merge your idea in with that one. Thanks🙂

Invoice Branding - Ability to map to specific currencies.
It would be great that it would be possible to set a default branding theme for a particular currency. This way the payment details added to a theme tailored for a Currency will match the invoice currency without manually having to set the correct theme in the invoice.
7 votesHi Thomas, while you can't match a specific branding theme based on the currency of the invoice, you can set this at a Contact level.
If you generally invoice a contact in a particular currency this means that you set this in the Contacts record within their Sales defaults section - see more in Xero central

Purchase order - Ability to attach PO to the invoice
Attach the raised purchase order to the invoice rather than creating supplier invoice from it. Upload the created purchase order in Xero - against the supplier invoice uploaded to Xero awaiting authorisation

Purchase Orders - See status on pdf
It would be useful to see the status (approved/awaiting approval etc.) on Purchase Order pdfs - to avoid the risk of unapproved POs being sent to suppliers. Requested by a client.

Invoices and Bills - Lock once finalised
Locking Invoices and Bills so they cannot be deleted once Finalised.
We often see clients raise invoices, or bills in their Xero file, and then later delete them if a change is required, and then raise another invoice or bill.
From an accounting perspective, this is a huge sin.
Once an invoice or bill has been finalised, the only way it should be altered is by raising either a debit or credit note against it. Xero allows a user to raise debit or credit notes, but the average non-accountant does not understand what these are, so they do the easiest…1 vote -
Reports - Customer/Supplier Bill Activity show Debit & Credit in separate columns
I refer to the Customer/Supplier Bill Activity reports which shows transactions as positive and negative figures. Could you *** create a report to show bill activity in Debit & Credit separate columns format instead of positive and negative figures in 1 column? Thank you

Short cut for payment date to be equal to transaction date
Short cut for payment date to be equal to transaction date.
For example, you have entered a bill say 20/3/2023. The client has also paid it on the day. Rather than entering 20/3/2023, would be great to just enter say "s" in the date field and uses the transaction date for the payment date.
2 votesJumping the gun in my last update - sorry Marco. While Xero's date entry shortcuts can be helpful for the due date these don't quite extend to the Paid date field atm.
We'll get a sense of interest here and update if there's any plans made. 🙂

Projects - Report based on employee projects
Projects - Would be terrific if we could produce a report based on employee projects, for example to be able to see what staff currently have on, the $$ they have quoted for a period of time etc.

Quotes - Applying Mark up
Applying Mark up in Quote - Ability to hit 'apply mark up' and select specific costs / folders that the mark up is applied for. Ie labour costs are not based off markup but the products are. If you hit 'apply mark up' the markup gets applied to every single cost.
14 votesRounding back on the idea here it sounds like using non tracked inventory could be a solution.
In Products and services you can add items and enter a Purchase price and a Sales price for the same item.
This means you can add the marked up price for Sales and when you select the item in Quotes or Invoices this price will be reflected for the line item.
Alternatively, you could add a discount to lines of your invoice if there is a general amount or % by which you would mark up items.
Keen to hear your feedback for these options.

New Bills to Pay - Add “Spent At” column for expenses
The new Bills To Pay screens seem to be causing a lot of discussion. For those users who extensively leverage the Expenses module, there are a number of improvements that could be made:
• Please Add “Spent At” in the columns so that Expenses make sense viewed in this context, otherwise every line says “Expense Claims” and the entire column is superfluous when dealing with Expenses (reduces redundant data display)
• Please add a link from the Bill listing directly to the Expense Detail if it was generated by Expenses (reduces click-through and page calls, improves efficiency)
• Please add…

Customer Statements - Use Contact default to apply template
We are a multi-currency business. We send out invoices in GBP (base currency), EUR and USD. We have 3 bank accounts (GBP, EUR, USD. I therefore had to create separate invoice templates for each currency, to show the correct bank details. I added the relevant invoice theme when setting up a new contact (customer). This works well when raising an invoice. However when manually sending out a statement it does not take the invoice theme from the one chosen on the invoice (= in our case normally default invoice theme on contact). It takes the ‘default template’ = the first…

Sales invoices - Allocate overpayments and credits once published
Kelly Munro shut down discussion on an idea I suggested, because she was under the mistaken impression that she had resolved the issue, which she had not. I suggested that it would be useful to be able to allocate payment of purchase invoice against overpayments and credits. While what Kelly suggested was correct - that this is possible to do when an invoice is first raised, it is only possible at this stage. It is not possible later. I have a client whose main supplier operates a very complicated system of prepayment for orders. This results in a large number…
3 votesHi Heather, while maybe slightly brash do appreciate the feedback.
With your added detail we're happy to have the idea in the forums here that we can get a feel for the appetite on - You're always welcome to reply to an update I've shared on an idea too and we can review this.
Please understand it's not my intention to inhibit customer feedback, but will do our best to highlight and share places where features and capability in the product do exist but may just be unknown by users.
