  1. In the customer under account transactions it shows the list of invoices and payments. Against unallocated overpaymentsit shows the status of 'Awaiting Payment' why? we are not awaiting the payment it is shown there.

    Awaiting allocation maybe.

    Anyway this caused confusion for our sales guy who had goods arrive for a proforma customer, he saw 'Awaiting payment' and thought they had not yet paid so he did not ship the goods, (Accounts were not in to tell him) He did not see the words overpayment or even if he had, he was not accounts so would he understand it?     Currently, you can include an Exchange rate note in the Trial Balance report, however it's not possible to run this report in another currency.

    We don't have any plans for extending the reports that can be run in a foreign currency atm, but it'll be good to get an idea of the interest for this here and we can share if there is any change.

  3. VAT201 Report - PDF link to scanned tax invoices. It will be great to have a PDF link to scanned invoices attached to bills and invoices in the transaction by field number report. It will be easier and save time to download and save from this screen, instead of opening the actual bill or invoice in order to download attached documents for upload on SARS efiling for VAT verification/audit.

  5. Ability to change Fonts in reports. Each firm is unique, and have ways to express themselves. We have always used a particular font for all our correspondance.
    The XERO reports look the same for every firm. Adding the options for fonts, size, colour will allow firms to be slightly different.

  6. Hi there,
    Is there any way you could integrate the photos I put on my Starling Bank account of receipts I receive for purchases for my business account, so that I don't have to enter them twice, once on Starling and once on Xero.
    I realise this is not an option, as it's not happening, but the notes I add do come through, so could the photos too?
    In this new digital paperless world, it would be good not to have to keep every receipt and have to remember to photograph it twice. Hubdoc doesn't help, because you still have…

  9. The new bills view has totally rearranged the columns and the column widths. I have already added my own vote to adjusting column widths but i really need to be able to sort my bills view columns in an order that is easier on the eye, and neck, instead of bouncing from from one side of the screen to the other unnecessarily.

  10. Bank statement search needs to allow the user to filter the search by spent or received as the amounts elements apply to both spent and received.

    Also - please fix the bug with status being ignored by the search.

Bank Transfers - they are great and easy - but it would be awesome if we could just improve them in the following ways - some of these suggestions incorporates other suggestions - but thinking if you are working on improving this functionality - it would be great to do it all at once.   12. When creating subcontractor bills and deducting retention, the CIS includes the retention when calculating the deduction
    For example, XERO should read:
    £250.00
    minus 3% retention (£7.50)
    £242.50
    minus CIS (£48.50)
    = £194.00

    HOWEVER, XERO calculates:
    £250.00
    minus 3% retention (£7.50)
    minus CIS (£50.00) (off the gross amount not the amount after retention deducted)
    = £200.00

    This means that CIS deduction is incorrect.

    There is no way around this currently even though similar issues have been raised since 2019 on Xero discussion threads and no solution has been made.

  13. Dates should default to date format when exporting the VAT return to excel.

    Currently when exporting the VAT return to excel that dates automatically default to either text or general format. This means you can't filter the dates by oldest to newest as the filter selection defaults to A-Z.

    Changing the date to date format via format cells does not fix the issue. The only way I have found is to manually update the dates using the =DATEVALUE(x) formula and paste these new values over the old ones. This can be very tedious when working with a lot of late…

  16. We would like to be able to capture non-financial (eg head count) and statistical numbers (eg Order Book) in Xero and add it into Xero reports alongside the existing financial information for management reporting
    Currently it seems that accounts that are added automatically appear in the Chart Of Accounts.
    Could another Account Type be created that allows memo accounts to be created outside the CoA?

  17. Multiple Report Styles

    It would be great to have multiple report styles for reporting where different logos and different names can be added for reporting. For example we have 2 companies using the same Xero HQ where one company does the accounting work and the other company compiles the reports so we need to publish reports with 2 different report styles and logos.

  18. When a report filter is selected, the filter should be displayed on the report that is displayed/printed. Eg if you use employee groups and you filter a payroll report by said group, the printed report should display the filter chosen

    Hi Esteon, you're right that it's not currently possible to Filter by the Related account column atm. It'd be good to understand what you;re trying to look at when running this report atm.

    Rather than filter by related account, could you select the Account that you'd be looking to filter by and then click the Related account header to order the transactions by the account they came from?
