  1. Bank feeds from Bendigo Bank, and I presume all other OSKO payments.is being fed into the reference field. It concatenates the description, payee and reference field.
    The problem is the field is now too short with new OSKO payment descriptions, so the reference field is often dropped off making some transactions difficult to match. A simple solution is to make this field longer.

  2. I've been raised an issue regarding View/Print PDF on Spend Money transaction and Xero Central Stated that "At the moment, it's only possible to send a remittance advice for payments recorded on bills".

    Therefore, I would like to give a suggestion, If possible, create a features that able us as Accountant & Bookkeepers to have features to View/Print from Spend Money & Transfer money like Receive Money features have.

    This features enable us to have documentation to file and for audit purposes.

    Hi Nur Fatini, it'd be good to get more understanding from you here as it sounds like the Account Transactions report could serve the purpose or perhaps simply creating a receipt of the spend money? 

  3. Please add a column in the VAT report to seperate the contact from invoice description (eg details column) to make VAT easier to analyse for larger companies using Xero.

    Thanks for the extra detail, Cheryl. Appreciate where you're coming from. This isn't something we have plans for at present but we'll get a feel for the interest and let you know if there's any change here. 

  4. It would be helpful to have the ability to add overdue invoices into the Short-Term Cash Flow Projection report without having to change any details in accounts receivables.

  6. I'm creating a new report at the request of a client and I want to be able to add the selection of periods to compare, but ... it doesn't give me the option. Please can you add this to the 'create reports' function , and then, we can really create, beautiful and meaningful reports for our clients.

  7. In Xero it is possible to add notes to spend money and receive money transactions, however, this field is missing for imports. The import documentation doesn't show a notes field:

    The Description and Reference fields are intended to be from the bank statement, however, Xero has a notes function once you enter a spend or receive money. That's where I want to add a note during import.

  8. The new Account Summary Report needs the Account Code in the drop down list. Currently it only has the names of the accounts. There is no option to show or hide the Account Code. Sometimes I work with the account codes and not names. I need the ability to type the code in as well.

  10. We need the ability to sort the data in the VAT Report table.

    This will make it much easier to review all the transactions to check that everything has been properly allocated.

  11. why can't we set up income allocations by %, not jnl , as every time you change something , you need to redo your jnl, update work papers etc. There must times when finals have been sent out ( Urgent) and this has been over looked
    This is a rather backwards step, esp when a trust could have 10 beneficiaries and need to do jnls ?!
    Would also affect partnerships, they would be the easiest to fix as majority would be a 50/50

  12. With the old reports you were able to run the report and then click into one of the GL codes to look at the data. There was then a link "back to P&L / Balance sheet report" which took you back. This is missing in the new report which is very time consuming as it seems you have to start again with running and customising your report.

  13. I would really like to see who raised an invoice when it shows on draft invoices page in Xero
    It is a pain opening the invoice to see this.

  14. HubDoc has etransfer option but only supports between non-asset etc accounts. We receive documents each time a transfer between bank accounts occur - or holding accounts eg: stripe payments into our transaction account. Would be great to be able to forward these to hubdoc and the transfer be recorded. Right now, its a manual transaction to be done in Xero.

  15. We reconcile monthly sales with an internal ordering/salesprocessing system. This is good for checking to see if invoices have been missed and also to make sure that the net sales are the same in Xero too (another fail safe check). There needs to be a sales report that is easy to run off on a monthly basis showing net figures. Currently I have to run a couple of reports off - identify prepayments and delete them in the excel version, then add another column to work out net value. The latter is not always easy as some of our goods…

  16. XERO: Reporting Operating Vs. G&A Expenses in Income Statement Report
    In the current income statement report, there is no way to split single account between operating and G&A expenses as XERO does not allow tracking on rows. This will result in finalizing reports through excel sheets or the need to duplicate accounts in COA to enable report expenses separately by nature.

  17. Please create a report on Invoices by contact with comparison periods. Currently there is no functionality to do this, and the closest report you can generate is an income by contract report. However, this report includes all income items, being stimulus, FBT contribution, interest income, client refunds, ato refunds etc. It would be useful to run a report against client contact, so I can quickly compare income for specified periods against clients. This will assist with understand client movements and also will quickly highlight where clients have potentially been under or over charged.

  18. This feature was included in the old user interface for Bank Rules, and with the new interface that was rolled out, this feature is no longer available. Instead, I'm forced to go to the COA screen to add a new COA code, then refresh my Bank Rules screen to then be able to choose that account. The time this adds, on top of the already manual process to add bank rules, really adds up. I'd love to see this ability again.

  19. There is a a Bug - Dashboard says under VAT Return Payment due in x days but payment was already made some days ago, properly conconciled with the exact correct amount. Xero should recognise this and not show an amount due in Dashboard which is incorrect.

    Did you know that the transaction reports on the VAT return can be exported to Excel format where these can then be sorted/searched and filtered to help review the transactions?

    We don’t have any near term plans to expand functionality to develop the ability to sort, filter and search within the tax rate box of the VAT return. If anything changes in the future, we’ll update you on this idea! 📢
