  1. Set Overpayment Allocation Date:
    Currently we are not allowed to change the date when an overpayment is applied to an invoice. It is allocated to the issue date of the invoice.
    The inability to change the date when allocating the overpayment to an invoice is causing problems where payments are now being applied to a closed sales tax period, which in turn causes the need for sales tax amendments and additional report filing.

  3. When you mark a PO as billed and copy to a draft bill the files attached to the PO don't remain with it and attach to the draft bill. Very annoying that you have to re-save the file and re-attach it to the bill

  4. I've been using your Bill.com integration for the last couple of weeks and I already had to reach out to Xero support twice to make a simple change in Bill.com settings. This requires the user (me) to open a case in Xero which subsequently has Xero support open a case in Bill.com (and then Xero support going back and forth between Bill.com and the user).

    There should be either:

    1. a settings page within Xero for all the Bill.com settings and variables or,

    2. Ability to have credentials on Bill.com to update the Bill.com settings.

  5. For Spend Money entry, I have two elements that would speed up entry:

    1. Prefill the last entry for that Contact. Most venders (e.g. "Uber") will be the same expense type over and over. Having the 1st item prefill from the last entry will save time.

    2. Right now "Save" is essentially "Save and Close" -- and then "Save & Add Another" creates a new blank item. I would like "Save" to stay on the same screen, so I can then use "Copy" from the "Options" menu to enter the same/similar item.

  7. After the customer accepts the quote, we need to book the work in. It doesn't get invoiced until the work is complete. It would be helpful if we could add an "Expected Start Date" to quotes after they've been accepted, or at least be able to mark it as "Booked".

  8. Ability to send or check remittances from individual contact page
    When a supplier requests a copy remittance it would be easier to be able to go into their contact page and check/send a remittance from there instead of having to look at the batch remittance and send from there.

  9. Ability to be able to add multiple line items to expense claim bill, like a normal bill, when expense claims are submitted through Xero Me. When a singular cost is associated with multiple jobs, being able to add a second or third line etc to divide this cost within the bill and assign to project accordingly would be far better than having to upload the same expense claim multiple times with different portions of costs allocated.

    When in "Bill Expense Claims" once the expense claim has been approved, under the "Bill Options" there is only the option to "Void" unlike…

  10. I raise invoices for clients who provide services to government departments and have project managers involved. This requires me to send an invoice to the accounts department who may have einvoicing and to the project manager who does not have access to the financial software and therefore requires a copy of the invoice which also confirms to them that the invoice has been submitted to accounts. Would it be possible to have another option when preparing an invoice to Approve, Send (as an e-invoice) and Email all in one process?

    It’s interesting to hear the different ways our users invoice and we appreciate you sharing how we could improve the flow of entry for you here. Being open this isn’t something we have plans for right now, however as our team plan further developments within invoicing, we’d like to engage you all here. To help our product teams get a better understanding of our invoicing users for future improvements, we’ve put a survey together and would love to hear your feedback through this.

  12. I would like to be able to drag and drop supplier invoices as PDFs into the JAX chat window as attachments.

    JAX should allow me to include additional prompts before processing the invoice.

    For example, how to handle different situations such as shipping and taxes listed in the supplier invoice.

    It would also be great if JAX could support currency conversion.

    For example:

    • Please import these bills and update the supplier contact details.
    • Assume the bills are tax exclusive.
    • Assume that the amounts on the invoice are MXN pesos and convert these to USD assuming the following USD exchange rate.

    Appreciate you separating out the different ideas you have for JAX on the site here, Mark. This has also been shared back with our team.

    We'll begin to track the interest from the community in being able to use JAX to import supplier bills here.

    In the meantime you may find the Upload feature in Bills handy for this sort of entry - however just to note it doesn't support currency conversion atm so will still require manually updating to reflect the correct currency.

  13. Is it possible to move the delete button away from approve button in Sales Overview.
    When approving invoices, have too be very careful with delete button right beside approve.

  15. can you make the selection of multiple files possible when adding images to invoices please. i have to navigate to my phones picture folder when i am invoicing out my expenses for the month. i have to attach copies of my receipts to the invoice and its painful only being able to add them one at a time.

For volume based businesses, we lose money (30c per transaction) on the stripe fee we pay vs what we can pass onto the customer (because there's no option currently to just pass on the full fee, just a %). That % can't legally be higher than what we are charged, and we can't add the 30c fee to the % anywhere in settings. When we're processing 1,000 transactions per month, we lose $300 to fees.   19. Hi team

    We need Xero to be able to calculate tax correctly on part year returns for clients in Xero tax. Even though the date fields are available in your returns to show a part year, the tax is still calculated for a full year so the assessment from IRD differs from the return prepared in XPM.

    Currently the only option is to file via myIR which is really not good enough.

    Hi team, we appreciate the interest in being able to manage part year returns through Xero Tax for NZ. This isn't something we have in our plans at present.
