Activity Statement - Ability to revise through Xero
Revise Activity Statement / IAS via Xero when a client has lodged their own IAS/BAS. It would be beneficial for tracking purposes if Xero offered the facility to unlock a submitted BAS/IAS to review & amend and relodge with the ATO. Whilst these can be revised via ATO Portal there is no tracking or record of an amendment in Xero

Having the same issue after we revised our BAS manually with the ATO (now our Xero record can't be updated to match because there is no option to revise / retract) even though our Xero isn't connected directly to the ATO - frustrating

As a BAS Agent we should be able to be able to revise a BAS if the client has made a mess of doing the lodgement themselves otherwise our balance sheet is never going to balance and the time involved is a WASTE of time.

I cant comprehend how such a basic function is not available in Xero. Is Xero working to correct this?

This needs to be made available ASAP. If it's available through the ATO portal why would it not be available here

Surprised that this isn't an option - other accounting software I have used could be done without going direct to ATO portal. Please Xero make this available so our Xero records are correct

This is something that when needed is critical and results in incomplete records within Xero. I completely agree with Jeanette in that the ATO will allow this through the portal, so there should be no reason why we cannot also lodge amendments through Xero.

I have come across this issue in the last few days and as its only when you have a problem that you find a issue. I cannot see why we are unable to do this as the ATO will allow this via the ATO Portal.
