XPM | Job Manager - Budget % based on Dollars $ not time
New Job Manager Budget % - base on $ not time.
Please give us the option to set the budget % based on the fee not time.
As our jobs are created though the Ignition integration, our fee budget $ is prefilled. We don't set the time budget as this would be a very manual process.

Xero have to make this change. It is pure common sense. If this is not the most logical change idea in relation to XPM I'd be surprised.
It has always baffled me why XPM (and other software) run task budgets on time when time is relative to staff charge out rates (which can vary across the type and experience of staff).
If I have a $1000 budget and my charge out is $250 then I have 4 hours in the budget. But if I charge out at $200 I have 5 hours. If I have staff with different charge out rates this will change again based on how much each staff inputs.
A time based budget will only ever be correct if all staff are on the same charge out rate which is anything but common in a modern accounting firm.
Xero - we don't charge clients their time, we charge them their $$$. Make this fix a priority.

All practices have different rates for different levels of staff. A £ budget will save a lot of work

Yes this is very necessary. I don't know any accounting firm that works on job budget time, it is always dollars.
All of our jobs have $ budgets and we manage our WIP in $ not time.
Another extremely useful column in the job manager would be $ budget left - eg $ budget minus estimated billable. This is a feature that is part of MYOB job manager and was very useful data.
I currently have to run a custom job manager report and export it to excel to get a useable job manager.
