Xero HQ | Permissions - Bulk change staff permissions

It would be great if there was an option to change staff permissions in bulk. So if there was a practice employee for example who now needed Payroll Admin access for 20 clients, it could be done in a few clicks as opposed to changing it for each of those 20 clients.

Hi everyone, rounding back across the idea here and with the new unified client and staff experience with majority of Practices I wanted to confirm how staff permissions to clients can be changes in bulk.

It's possible to update a Staff's permission to multiple clients at once;

  • Go to Practice > Staff,
  • click the staff members name,
  • from the Clients tab you will be able to filter/sort and select multiple clients at once to Edit permissions in bulk

You can also update multiple Staff's access to a Client from the Clients page;

  • Open the Client from the list view,
  • Go to the Staff tab
  • From here you can Filter or search Staff and select them to bulk Edit permissions to that client

    We used to be able to add staff to certain groups and that option has been taken away, which seems crazy

    Just short of 1200 clients and 208 staff. I really would like to be able to bulk edit the staff to client permissions.

    In My Xero staff I could quickly review all clients and see which staff had which level of access and could update multiple client access for a staff member in seconds.

    Now I have to click into each client , click staff and then change each staff member's access. A ten second job could now take hours!!

    It is essential Xero HQ staff has the same functionality or switch My Xero staff BACK ON!

    Staff Access to Xero Clients- I have more than 200 clients. I am struggling assigning the clients to my Team using new method especially when new team member join and i need to allocate 50 clients to him. Is it possible to allow old methods as an option who want to use that. It was more helpfull as I could assign multiple clients at same window instead of one by one in this new way. Also In new way client are in random order and there is no way sorting them in assending or desending order.
