commented100% agreed - important to get this sorted as currently accounts produced from xero tax look amateurish to the clients. Too many cost lines as not grouped, spelling mistakes, internal naming you dont want to see in the final accounts Also - Gross Profit is a section with a sub total - it should just be a line ? And one more - the report needs a Profit Before Taxation line

commentedThis is essential to produce a detailed profit & loss account on the statutory full accounts for clients because this is how they are used to seeing this information. The inability to group nominals on the detailed profit & loss means we are unable to implement Xero Tax for those more complex clients.

commentedI agree that this is a problem for certain clients who want grouped expenses rather than an alphabetical list of the nominal accounts.

commentedCurrently, there is no option to amend the detailed profit and loss in the final full accounts. We would like to have an option to amend how the expenses are laid out. For example, depreciation expense coming under its own heading rather than an administrative expense.

commentedWe have had a client kick back re the detailed P&L in the Xero Tax accounts as it lists every relevant account as in the COA and can be meaningless without groupings. Please could we have the ability to format the detailed P&L to suit the client rather than it being just a random collection of income and expenses as they might appear in the TB. He wants us to go back to IRIS where obviously the income and expenses could be posted to meaningful account headings.

commentedThis feature is important to provide professional accounts rather than the messy list often created by the client for internal use.

commentedthe P&L can look a bit messy if the client has many nominal accounts. It would be really good to group the categories together and make it look nice and tidy. Can you please sort this out asap. thank you

commentedThe full P&L is too cluttered for a set of Limited Company accounts - this feature would save a lot of time.

commentedAgree, the 'tag' heading should be displayed in the detailed profit and loss rather than the nominal account name.

commentedAgreed - it should not show the nominal account names as these are for internal purposes. It should present the way that the P&L has been tagged.

commentedAgree with this. I would argue that the 'tag' heading should be displayed in the detailed profit and loss rather than the nominal account name.

commentedAgreed, using all nominals from a client's Xero can make the detailed P/L unwieldy, having the option to condense certain nominals into one would help makes things more manageable.

commentedAt present the expense headings in the detailed profit and loss account in Xero tax are imported from, and are therefore the same as, the expense headings in Xero. Often clients have more nominal accounts (for management purposes) than one would wish to see in the detailed profit and loss. An ability to combine two or more Xero nominal accounts into one expense heading figure in Xero tax would be very useful.
