When preparing the client's financial statements it would be useful if we could upload the accounting partner's signature (e.g. as a JPEG or TIF) into the compilation report before the financials are published. We have to edit the signing section each year to update the date so it would be good & more efficient if we could upload the signature at the same time.

    It would then carry forward when the draft financials of the following year are prepared.

  4. Would be great if we have an option when all new clients are entered - all staff are added automatically as Advisors rather than Managed Client. It currently requires an administrator to go and edit permissions for every new client. Then if security is needed to protect certain client info it can be added by the administrator.

  5. I've just set up a salary sacrifice for a cycle to work scheme in payroll. However there isn't an end date in Xero so I have to manually diarise a date to stop the salary sacrifice for the employees. Please could a box be added to automate this.

Need to be able to better identify restricted / confidential clients and have controls in place to not give all staff access to these Xero blue files - currently we need to use manual methods (e.g. add "Restricted" in the client name, and add them to a "Restricted" client group), but this is highly prone to human error, and requires extra steps.

    Further, the new Single Client Record function will prevent us from adding "restricted" to the client record name.

    This function will need to incorporate the ability to filter out these confidential client ledgers when giving new staff access.

  7. It is not currently possible to use Report Fields in a group heading in reports.

    We spend time setting up shareholder and director names in Report Fields but they can only be used in text blocks, not group headings in reports. If we could use Report Fields in group headings we could make report templates, such as the schedule of shareholder current accounts, more dynamic and automatic. See the screenshot attached for an example.

  8. Reports - Advisor Report functionality recommendations:
    1. Ability to add any report (including customized/saved/published reports) to Advisor report packages. I only see a limited selection of reports from the Add Report dropdown. I feel like I should be able to add any report I want.
    2. Ability to add separator pages easily (like "supplementary information" page) that don't have the company name/date in the header. This would also be useful for adding a letter / accountant's report on letterhead.
    3. Ability to customize the cover page for wording, layout, logo, etc.
    4. Ability to create new Advisor Report templates from…

  9. Hi there

    We would like to request that the GST Return, GST Reconciliation and general ledger reports are able to be included in the report packs at the practice level.

    We are requesting this function to streamline reporting for periodic GST work. We would ideally have two report packs set up at the practice level that all staff can access when preparing clients GST.

    Hi everyone, to provide an update relating to the original reports that were raised in this idea, and feedback through the thread. The following reports are all available to add to a report template in Xero HQ;

    • General Ledger Detail 
    • General Ledger Summary 
    • General Ledger Exceptions
    • Tax Depreciation Schedule


    We currently have no plans to make other reports available in report templates.

  10. Would be great to copy company access rights from one staff user to another. When a staff member leaves and inherits a portfolio of clients would be great to copy client access from one client to another.

  11. We are getting an increasing amount of (sometimes angry) pushback from clients where when we add Administrators to our HQ account, they are automatically given full permissions over any linked client Xero files, as well as all our ledger files. We are a large firm with over 15 Administrators.
    Please give us the ability to CHOOSE, if we want to add all administrators to all files.
    OR
    Create an administrator role that doesnt need to add them as a USER to each client file.

    Imagine you have a Xero file for your own personal business, and suddenly notice 13 people…

  12. Report Building - Ability to choose any report from Xero Blue to add to the reports. Especially payroll reports.

    Ideally, I would like to be able to build a set of management reports that include things such as accrued annual leave and long service leave. Annual days to pay on AR, average days to pay per client and other KPI type measurements. Is there away to build out own templates that can go into payroll and other areas of Xero to create these

  13. HQ Client Groups - Default group to display on login rather than having to select each time. My groups include simple things like Every Day clients, and Annual clients. I want my everyday clients to be all I see when I login and I can go searching for the others if needs be. Without this default group function I've got a list twice as long as needs be for 95% of the year.

    The old client list allowed for a default group, why can't the new one? These improvements are supposed to be about reducing the number of clicks required…

  14. Why is Xero Analytics and Analytics Plus not available for Xero partners within Xero HQ? Is this currently in consideration because it would be extremely useful to promote to existing clients who are currently using other BI tools that have no API connectivity with Xero and making the financial analysis process much more complex than it should be?

  15. We would like to suggest an enhancement to the Xero payroll software that could significantly improve its functionality for our company.

    Currently, Xero offers download options for various pension providers, but we've noticed that True Potential is not among them.

    We propose the addition of a CSV download option specifically for the True Potential pension provider.

    Given that Xero already possesses the necessary data, incorporating this feature would eliminate the need for manual data entry and formatting, reducing the risk of errors and saving valuable time.

  16. allow quantities to be added direclty to the ledger and then to feed into reporting templates. manualy entered reporting data is fraught with danger and history is lost from year to year, which means we are replugging data every year...current "semi-automated" practice doesnt seem to fit with xero ethos

  18. Has anyone else noticed since they made the dreaded and catastrophic changes in the contact view screen that you can't easily drag and drop attachments anymore?
    Now you have to go to the files tab first and drop it in the predefined window. You used to be able to just drag and drop anywhere in the window and it would attach.

    You also used to be able to add documents from the files section like you still can with the bills and invoices, this feature no longer exists in contacts so now you have to download the document from files…

    We appreciate hearing your feedback on the changes we're making, Fiona. We made an update to the files upload on a contacts record not long ago so you can now attach files that have been uploaded to your files library, like you could before. 


    There is a slight change as you mention where when you'd like to drag & drop a file you'll need to drag it to the box on the screen. It's not something we have plans for changing in the short term but we'll begin to get a sense of the interest in this here and let you know if there are any updates.

    In Xero HQ as a partner we have the ability to create report packages however it is only for use within our practice, it would be really helpful if we had the option to share these with our clients.

  20. It would be useful to have the ability to mark a document pack as complete even if some of the signatures are missing.

    We have had occasions where trustees refuse to sign via document packs after the clients have already signed. We then have to print the partially signed documents and send hard copies for trustees to sign.

    This leaves the document pack incomplete. The only option available is to cancel the pack, not ideal The ability to mark the pack as complete would be a great addition.
