Document Packs - Select signatories from Xero HQ
Current: Signatory name and email address for Document Packs are manually typed in (once per pack).
Issue: Manual input is repetitive, error prone, and requires switching tabs.
Request: These details usually exist in Xero HQ already, so I'd like to be able to select my signatory from this list.
Potential future features enabled by this:
When a signatory is selected this way, other signatories could be pre-populated in the one-click right-bar based on whether they've been in the same group of signatories in a previous Document Pack.
History of Document Packs attributed to each Xero HQ record.

NZ Tax - Publish a GST return with alphabetically listed Account names
It would be so much better to be able to publish a GST return with the ability to alphabetically list the Account names so all transactions can be presented grouped by the same account code. Then the client can easily review their audit report and identify transactions in the wrong account code.

Xero HQ - Custom Staff Groups
It would be great if we had the ability to create our own groups within the staff screen in Xero HQ. At the moment we have filters for standard, administrator, master administrator and then also staff that have been invited but not yet accepted.
It would be useful if we could create our own custom staff groups. For example by office location: London, Glasgow, Manchester etc. or by function within the business: Accounts, Audit, Tax etc.
Staff could belong to different groups as well, Glasgow and Audit or London and Tax.

Xero Sign | Email notification of who has signed in the document pack
Xero Sign - It would be great if there was an indicator to let us know that one or more clients within the one document pack have signed the documents. (if it is sent to multiple people) We only get notified once everyone signed.

Bank Accounts - Include bank accounts with COA import
Enable a Bank account to be created when the Chart of Accounts we have created in HQ is imported. Currently, this is not possible. All Bank accounts in the COA need to be changed to Current Assets, and then in the newly created Xero Blue organisation file, the "Bank" accounts have to be deleted and created again! Very annoying. The overall process is great, but this is annoying. We have many bank accounts in our various standard chart of accounts. I want to include the bank accounts so that my staff know the account numbers to use when they set…

Xero HQ - View Awaiting approval bills across multiple companies
When you have multiple companies using Xero and utilise the function to approve bills in Xero for audit tracking purposes you need a way to view the number of bills "Awaiting approval" in all of the companies in one place.
It is very time consuming to open each company individually in order to confirm that there are bills that need approval.

It would be really useful if we could see the quarter end date for VAT returns on the HQ home page - similar to how we can see the Financial year end.

Provide a function to mark clients as favourites
Can you take the option of making reports favourites by marking them with a star and allow us to do the same with orgs so that a Client Manager can favourite the clients in their portfolio rather than having to search for their clients among the clients of the whole practice?

Instead of having to add users in three places (HQ, Workpapers & Tax), have the ability to add them once and this then flow through to the additional tools in use at the practice

Xero HQ | Document packs - Record of messages sent
Currently once the document pack is sent you can't see the message that you have sent the client. It would be good to be able to see what you have told them- especially if you are providing them with additional information but you don't want to have to do a separate email.

User roles | Permission - Give cashbook client access to chart of Accounts
When giving a client access to their Xero file for the client to be able to add codes to the chart you need to give the client advisor access - Maybe the access to the chart of accounts should be added to the cashbook client as a tick box option (like manage users is in the adviser access)

Xero HQ - Ability to sort clients by "Unreconciled Items"
With the updates happening around Xero HQ, it would be a great time to be able to provide additional search functions on the Practice Client list. At a minimum, being able to sort by "Unreconciled Items" would be very helpful.

Documents Pack - When you have multiple people signing a document, it can be specified the order of the people signing the documents.

Hopefully they will be able to pick this back up down the track, but we'll move back to Submitted for now and continue tracking the interest here. I'll let you know if there are any more changes.

Contacts - Colour coded status icons for invoices and bills
When viewing bills/invoices under a contact, can the 'bill created', 'bill approved' and 'bill paid' icons be different colours please? :)

Xero HQ | Reporting - Bank feeds per client
A report showing which clients are using which bank feeds.
This would allow easy updates to client and internally when we become aware of a bank feed causing duplications or other errors.3 votes -
Recording Statistical data
Xero should be having a feature Statistical GL where one can enter statistical information or numbers which are vital for analyzing business trends.
For example, If I am maintaining books of a restaurant and I want to record daily covers (footfall or number of customers) which can help me analyze revenue per cover, spend etc.
There should an option to create some designated ledgers to input and maintain these statistical information which does not affect any financial statements but can be used for business performance analysis.8 votes -

Xero Sign: Remember previous contact details
Xero Sign Address book or similar
Would be great if Xero sign had some form of memory or address book for people who had previously signed, rather than having to input the details each time.
Whether is was linked to practice manager or just within Xero sign, it would save time having to look up client email addresses, and possible typos in names/emails!
