  1. The ability to remove grid lines to a xero report that has been exported to excel spreadsheet then edited and then pasted back into xero reports. Currently this is extremely annoying and you might as well set it up in excel from the start. Not friendly at the moment and doesn’t look professional or doesn’t save any time.

    Hi Sue, we appreciate your feedback about improving the experience of pasting edited spreadsheets back into Xero reports, particularly the ability to remove grid lines and add blank rows. This has been shared with our product teams.

  2. The 3.1 version of the API only gives UUIDs instead of numeric IDs. I would like to see all URLs on the website accept either UUID or numeric ID. This already seems to be partially supported, but I would like to see full parity with numeric IDs and UUIDs.
     
    E.g. When viewing a client, the url is:
    https://practicemanager.xero.com/Client/{NUMERIC_ID}/Detail
    but the website will handle a uuid here too
    https://practicemanager.xero.com/Client/{UUID}/Detail

    Similarly for a job
    https://app.practicemanager.xero.com/job/jobview.aspx?id={NUMERIC_ID}
    https://app.practicemanager.xero.com/job/jobview.aspx?uuid={UUID}

    But unfortunately viewing a group is only possible with numeric ID
    https://practicemanager.xero.com/Group/{NUMERIC_ID}/Members
    but not as
    https://practicemanager.xero.com/Group/{UUID}/Members

    Given that using the XPM API v3.1, you ONLY…

  3. When using the group address update, for example, it does not register as a change to all group entities and thus does not push the change for all entities across to integrated programs (such as Xero and HowNow). It is only the individually changed client that gets updated. Can this be fixed so the group update also registers as an update for the rest of the group entities?

    Hi Zoe, if you have integrated your Practice Manager with other external apps it would be best to connect with the app providers directly to see if this is something they would consider extending their integration to accommodate.

    Many applications have built and designed their integration with Xero themselves and would be the best to approach about what their integration can provide and if there are any changes you'd like to see to it.

  4. It would be ideal if the "Write On Amount" fields in WIP Ledger reporting within XPM are made available in the API. We leverage multiple systems that need to tack together a formula to measure write offs using the available fields in the API, or cannot include Write On information, so is often inaccurate.

    Hi all, we thank you for sharing feedback with us on how we could improve Xero for your needs. For API requests we have a dedicated community with experts that can keep you update on any changes for this.

    I've had a quick search here but it doesn't look like we have a requests specifically for writing on the WIP ledger.

    While we'll close your idea as feedback in the forums here please do feel free to start one for this there.

  5. Can you please allow Estimated Billing dollar amounts and WIP data to be accessed by third party approved apps.

    We have FYI Docs connected and they integrate with Xero Job Manager. They can only show WIP on jobs as time amounts not dollar values. Seeing actual WIP in hours is pretty much useless.

    This is critical for our practice as we use FYI Docs Job Manager. We currently have to also have a excel document running along side it that needs manual updating so we can view Estimated Billable amounts on jobs compared to the budget.
