  2. Fix the generate invoice page so that it ceases to jump/shift when trying to input data. It is the only page that does this. I am assuming that this occurred when Xero "fixed" classic invoicing.

    Don't just fix it for your users, fix it for yourselves. You deserve a better product to sell. Stop wasting money on an advertising budget and spend it on having a polished/ finished product that will then sell itself.

    You can discuss about the Xero Tax feature that you are looking for and our specialists will be able to assist more on this. We do have multicurrency capabilities, and a Xero Payroll product in some regions, or you can look to integrate with a third-party provider.

  4. More changes! I have had a look at the prototype, so I'm not just reacting for the sake of it - will there be an option to keep what we have, at least for a while, or will this be forced on us like other changes?

    We want to be upfront that this new navigation and homepage will be coming to all users overtime. However if there are any aspects that you see could be improved for your use please do share by voting and adding ideas for this in the forums here.

  5. These forums are not user friendly for searching/viewing ideas, voting or seeing what has actually been actioned. The number of Submitted Ideas far outweighs the number that are viewed or even actioned which is frustrating for users who take the time to make suggestions that are practical and would improve user experience

    Thanks for your feedback, Karen. Not sure if you've seen but we recently made a change to the lifecycle for Xero Product Ideas - You can find more detail about this change from our blog.

    Atm, we're in the process of reviewing all previously submitted ideas on the forum so there is a bit of a backlog that we're going through to move ideas to one of the new statuses.

    Additionally as part if this change we are taking a more active role to archive old ideas (this includes ideas that may have been marked as completed or not in pipeline more than 2 years ago)

    We're always considering how we can improve the ways our customers share feedback and do have a close eye on other community forums when considering what we do next. Thanks again for sharing with us here.

  6. Xero has limits in data tagging, making it hard to extract raw data for dashboards. As data tools like Power BI grow, we see Xero as a base layer and need better tagging or add-ons to support deeper data analysis.

  7. Parolla is a brillant tool for Irish VAT. I would ask if there is anyone interested in Parolla VAT RTD? This tool would save so much time during vat returns, that is something I would ask you to take a look and see if it's doable.

    Hi Darena, generally integrations are best to engage the app provider on as they would need to make a change to an existing integration they're built with Xero.

    You can also share integrations or changes to what Xero allows via integrations through our Developer community, you'll find our forums for this across here.

  9. What if I want to add something on the cover and content page? There should be an option to insert content, add a text block, etc. Not to mention the period customisation, we have clients that just started out and we are required to add (Date of Incorporation) behind the starting date, e.g. period from 23 August 2024 (Date of Incorporation) to 31 March 2025.

    I want to also address the trial balance and some other reports as well, namely the accounting period has a lack of flexibility in terms of displaying the figures we wanted, like all I want…

    Hi Ronald, we appreciate you sharing feedback about reports in Xero, however we do need each post to be contained to one idea. This means others in community know what they're voting for, helps us understand interest in a specific functionality and ensures we can keep users updated of changes - You can view the qualities of an idea on Xero Central.

  10. From the account transactions report for the Rounding account, clicking a transaction just loads the dashboard, it would be ideal if this took you to the transaction which includes the rounding adjustment, i.e. the detail for the reconciled bank statement line

    Sorry Lyndsey we'll need a bit more detail in your idea here to gain community support and share back with our product teams.

    When you say 'deposit' - would this be a batch deposit, or say a Project amount invoice?

    With batch deposits, you would add tracking within the individual invoices within the batch so you can assign lines of the invoices to differing tracking options if needed.

  12. General Ledger Detail - Opening Balances - The Option in More..allows you to tick the box to include Opening and Closing Balances, but when the report runs it does not show the opening balances. Please fix this up.

  13. GST transactions (in GST Return) - The description is now the payment supplier or customer instead of the description on the invoice or transaction. And the links are now going to the payment or payment batch rather than to the invoice so then you need to look for the invoice you are trying to verify. Can the link please be the actual invoice being paid?

  14. Customize the invoice template according to the need of the organization. On the template over the setting it should give the possibility for adding extra rubrics or fields that it will appear in the invoice as a separate section and just not adding in the "Description" field. Especially when we have to use two currencies and the exchange rate. And also when print the invoice out it doesn't as on the print preview.

  15. The ability to remove grid lines to a xero report that has been exported to excel spreadsheet then edited and then pasted back into xero reports. Currently this is extremely annoying and you might as well set it up in excel from the start. Not friendly at the moment and doesn’t look professional or doesn’t save any time.

  16. Why does the Styled PDF report not show the ABN?
    I thought it was supposed to look the same as if it was published but having to publish it
    i.e. I would like to review what the report will look like before it is published.

    Can this be updated please - before are anymore financials are published without ABNs!

  17. The 3.1 version of the API only gives UUIDs instead of numeric IDs. I would like to see all URLs on the website accept either UUID or numeric ID. This already seems to be partially supported, but I would like to see full parity with numeric IDs and UUIDs.
     
    E.g. When viewing a client, the url is:
    https://practicemanager.xero.com/Client/{NUMERIC_ID}/Detail
    but the website will handle a uuid here too
    https://practicemanager.xero.com/Client/{UUID}/Detail

    Similarly for a job
    https://app.practicemanager.xero.com/job/jobview.aspx?id={NUMERIC_ID}
    https://app.practicemanager.xero.com/job/jobview.aspx?uuid={UUID}

    But unfortunately viewing a group is only possible with numeric ID
    https://practicemanager.xero.com/Group/{NUMERIC_ID}/Members
    but not as

  19. When using the group address update, for example, it does not register as a change to all group entities and thus does not push the change for all entities across to integrated programs (such as Xero and HowNow). It is only the individually changed client that gets updated. Can this be fixed so the group update also registers as an update for the rest of the group entities?

    Hi Zoe, if you have integrated your Practice Manager with other external apps it would be best to connect with the app providers directly to see if this is something they would consider extending their integration to accommodate.

    Many applications have built and designed their integration with Xero themselves and would be the best to approach about what their integration can provide and if there are any changes you'd like to see to it.

  20. It would be ideal if the "Write On Amount" fields in WIP Ledger reporting within XPM are made available in the API. We leverage multiple systems that need to tack together a formula to measure write offs using the available fields in the API, or cannot include Write On information, so is often inaccurate.
