  1. A report function where we can generate a detailed Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet report in one click. It's very manual on the current set up where we generate this from Account Transaction Report. This will help us to generate a more accurate report and make our job much easier.

    Thanks for raising this Idea with us and adding your votes. The Profit and Loss and the Balance Sheet are designed to show the total figures for a given period in a given account rather then the movements, this can not be changed as it is inline with reporting standards. However you could look at the General Ledger Detail report and customise to show what you need. This report will show every transactions in every account within the period selected.

  2. On Xero Tax, I would love to see a Button/Tick Box on the "Filed" page to only show the Tax Returns that were Lodged with the ATO that day.

    Thanks for your votes and comments on this idea for a filter to show tax returns lodged on a specific day. We hear your feedback that the existing workarounds, like the Income Tax Client Report, don't fully solve this issue, as it's not a real-time, daily report of lodgements. For now, some users have noted that using your browser's find function (Ctrl + F or Cmd + F) to search for today's date can help. While it doesn't provide a definitive, filtered list, it may help locate returns that have been lodged on the current day. We've shared your feedback with our product team, and we consider all feedback when planning improvements to Xero Tax. We'll be sure to update you here if anything changes.


  3. When drafting fees, it would be useful to be able to see a total figure under each job included in the fee when you have the draft fee on your screen. At present there is just the fee total at the bottom.

The new WIP overview widgets and dashboards are designed to help you manage your WIP more effectively. We're continuing to make enhancements to WIP visibility, so please know that your feedback is important and helps us shape the product roadmap. While there is no dedicated feature in the draft fee finalisation workflow at this stage, we’re actively working on further improvements to WIP visibility, and this is something we may consider adding in the future. Keep an eye out for further updates on Xero blog.


  4. Can't use pay now function. Need direct debit to be 4 weekly on a Tuesday to align with incoming payments with corresponding 4 week billing cycle. Otherwise hardly ever shall align, and shall need to do manual payment each time.

  5. It would be nice for Xero Advisors to go into Xero Central and see what all product updates needed for the year that either needed completed or were completed in one spot instead of searching for each quarter.

  6. Being able to write off WIP progressively with a job open for a whole year. I prefer not to do a WIP washup at the end, i would like to do as i go

  7. GST return - Finalised button is GREEN and so is the Filed button.
    It's really easy to miss if it didn't go through to IRD, they are both Green and start with F and when you are doing 40 odd it's all a bit routine.

  10. I am not happy with the latest increase. I don’t see why I should now start paying for payroll when I don’t use it.
    The fiasco with the new invoice system is ridiculous. So many basic things are so wrong such as the layout. Just where do you get your developers from?

    We appreciate the feedback here. Our new streamlined plans are designed to provide easier access to the tools to help run your business efficiently. That means more key features included, with fewer add-ons to navigate. We consider many factors when rolling out changes like this and that includes understanding the nuances of a particular market and customer needs.

    If there is something particular with other features across Xero that'd help improve your experience I'd recommend voting on the individual product ideas. Our product teams are regularly reviewing and make changes based on our community's feedback here.

  11. I have recently subscribed to Sharesight for my Super Fund share portfolio as it integrates with Xero. Sharesight doesn't handle multicurrency bank accounts well but it does sync bank statements from Xero so by using multicurrency bank accounts in Xero and them syncing them to Sharesight the value is added to the portfolio valuation and the historical cost is handled correctly in Xero. Sharesight offers Xero Cashbook plans to their subscribers but I am sure there would be more subscribing if they could have multicurrency as I have seen a lot of subscribers complaining about not been able to use…
