I would like to propose an enhancement to Xero’s functionality, specifically regarding the home page or the Dashboard under the "Reconcile" section. It would be beneficial to introduce an option that allows users to allocate multiple payments to a single invoice simultaneously. This improvement would significantly reduce the time spent on manually selecting each payment to allocate against individual sales invoices. Lock/unlock for Financial Setting
Hi Xero team, it would be really helpful to have a quick lock/unlock icon under Accounting for financial settings. Right now it takes too many clicks to check or change, and a one-click option would make month-end and year-end so much faster and easier.

Navigation - Move up practice tools section on main menu
Navigation - Main Menu
Personally, I access practice tools and hubdoc / syft several times daily, I'd prefer not thave to scroll down to get to these. Settings and Subscription / Billing are access much less frequently and coud me lower in the menu.
Also the Xero Menu and Home Menu seem to do exactly the same thing? Could the main drop down menu therefore be moved over to the LHS where it was previously.2 votesThanks for your feedback, Tina. Navigation - Back to the top button at bottom of page
Please could you add a 'Back to the top' button, especially on the reconcile and report pages, but every page would be useful.
After scrolling down many line items, it would be far quicker to have this function implemented for ease.11 votesThanks for sharing, Katie. We don't have any plans for adding this within Xero atm, however if working on a desktop you can use Home button on a Windows, or on a Mac you can press the Command key + Left arrow. This should help when navigating a long list such as reports like you mentioned.

Navigation - Restore Organisation Name
Expand the field to the right of Xero (top left) to show more than 2 letters for the active organisation.
In the Home view, I can see the company name (below Xero), but not in other views.

Currently which ever screen you navigate to you should see the organisation name in the top left of the navigation bar next to 'Xero'. In the top right you'll be able to see your login profile picture, or if you haven't uploaded one this will show your profile name initials.

Navigation | Search - auto close and remove entry
I have seen the new Xero update, and the search bar has changed (only looks and complaints)
1. The search bar stays open, so you manually have to close it, which is slightly annoying.
2. Your search stays in the bar when it is closed. So when you open the bar again to search for something else, you have to delete the original search. Navigation | Accounting - Direct access to Tracking
Put Tracking Categories back under Accounting. Same as Chart of Accounts, Tracking Categories needs to be accessed regularly.

Navigation - Access Product & Services from both Sales and Purchases
I think the new menu bar is great as its closer to the original layout from about 9-10 years ago.
But super annoying that I can only access Products & Services via Sales.
All our purchasing is run through Xero, all our sales is run via external POS that we import summary csv, not detail, so no products or services.
Seeing as the new navigation bar is already quite full and having a separate productions option is not visually viable, would it not make sense to have the Products and Services link feature in both Sales & Purchases?

Organisation Settings - Display more than 5 organizations from change organisation drop down list
When a person has more than 5 organizations in their portfolio the 'Change of Organization' drop down list only shows the most recent 5 used. It would be helpful if ALL your organizations showed on screen to choose from. Or of course, having the option to reduce to the 5 normal.

Navigation | Edit display picture for organisations in dropdown
It's very hard to tell multiple organizations apart, particularly if they have the same initials. Currently, Xero simply displays the organizations' initials. It also assigns a random color to each organization. It would help distinguish these greatly if the organization settings allowed me to upload an avatar for each organization. Xero's Demo Company already illustrates how this feature would look. Also, it would help edit the color Xero assigns so that the color could match each organization's branding.
