  1. I would like to request the ability to organize custom reports into folders within Xero. As the number of custom reports grows, it becomes increasingly difficult to manage and locate specific reports quickly. Having the functionality to group custom reports into folders (e.g., by department, reporting period, user, or project) would significantly improve usability and efficiency.

    This feature would be especially helpful for teams that rely heavily on customized reporting, allowing us to maintain a more organized and streamlined workflow. Ideally, folders should support permissions or sharing settings to help control access to sensitive reports.

  2. Expand the field to the right of Xero (top left) to show more than 2 letters for the active organisation.
    In the Home view, I can see the company name (below Xero), but not in other views.
    It would be so much clearer!

    Hi Karen, just trying to better understand your idea here are you referring to the organisation name or the logged in users name?

    Currently which ever screen you navigate to you should see the organisation name in the top left of the navigation bar next to 'Xero'. In the top right you'll be able to see your login profile picture, or if you haven't uploaded one this will show your profile name initials.

  3. Please add Tracking Categories back to the main menu, so it can be accessed with one click instead of having to navigate through to settings. Under accounting tools would be fine. Thank you

  4. I have seen the new Xero update, and the search bar has changed (only looks and complaints)
    1. The search bar stays open, so you manually have to close it, which is slightly annoying.
    2. Your search stays in the bar when it is closed. So when you open the bar again to search for something else, you have to delete the original search. If it has been a while since you last searched, you forget, and it can be so frustrating.

  5. Put Tracking Categories back under Accounting. Same as Chart of Accounts, Tracking Categories needs to be accessed regularly.

  6. With the new Navigation menu, the Search for an Organisation will only appear once you have gone into more than four Organisations on the one day - per response from Xero Support:
    "Currently, the Search option to swap between organisation only appear if you've recently accessed four or more organisation from your Xero HQ.
    So, it may happen that at the start of the day you won't have the search option, but once you have accessed four or more organisation from Xero HQ you will get the Search option."

    Hi team, we appreciate your feedback on this and hearing about your experience with Xero's new navigation.

    Our product team have identified that there is an issue where the organisation search doesn't appear for some users. While we can't give any definite timeframes around this atm, I'll be sure to share any updates around this with you all here.

    For the time being, if the search does not appear you should still be able to get to your full list of organisation and search an organisation within My Xero. Thanks

  7. I think the new menu bar is great as its closer to the original layout from about 9-10 years ago.

    But super annoying that I can only access Products & Services via Sales.

    All our purchasing is run through Xero, all our sales is run via external POS that we import summary csv, not detail, so no products or services.

    Seeing as the new navigation bar is already quite full and having a separate productions option is not visually viable, would it not make sense to have the Products and Services link feature in both Sales & Purchases?

    Really appreciate your feedback on the new navigation, Fiona. I've made sure to share this back with our product team. They are taking on board and considering all feedback carefully.

    For now we'll get an understanding of the interest from community in this through your idea, and I'll let you know if there are any plans made for this, here.

  8. Shortcut to Hubdoc - First thing I do when I open Xero in most clients is click straight into Hubdoc. With the BETA layout the shortcut has now been lost right down under 'do more with Xero'. I want to move the shortcut so it is the first thing I get to when I click on the client name. I'd also like the hide the Syft, I don't plan on using it yet and don't want it on my dashboard

  9. One of the key steps in preparing client financials is to ensure accounts, especially newly added ones, are assigned to the correct report code. I had the favourited on every client in the old navigation for quick access as it's something I need almost every time. It'd like that back.

    Great to get your feedback here, Chris. It'll be good for us to get a sense of interest from others in community that also found this Favouriting of Advanced Account settings useful.

  10. Navigation - Main Menu
    Personally, I access practice tools and hubdoc / syft several times daily, I'd prefer not thave to scroll down to get to these. Settings and Subscription / Billing are access much less frequently and coud me lower in the menu.
    Also the Xero Menu and Home Menu seem to do exactly the same thing? Could the main drop down menu therefore be moved over to the LHS where it was previously.

I've slightly amended your idea to the first that you mentioned around navigating to practice tools. We have a slightly different one for the navigation to Hubdoc that you may like to vote for.

    I would like to propose an enhancement to Xero’s functionality, specifically regarding the home page or the Dashboard under the "Reconcile" section.     My first thought is that the home page is overly busy. The graphs are great but there is A LOT going on. We have more than one bank account so that would make the homepage even busier. The task widget is a great idea but the recent invoice payments and chart of accounts aren't really useful for us. We would want to remove widgets that aren't used.

    It would be great to have a projects widget showing project time use and amount on the homepage.

  16. Custom reports as an option the Report drop down. I know we can favourite them, but if we have a lot of custom reports it's quicker just to go to the custom report page immediately and work from there.

  17. The new tabs are nominated as Purchases and Sales but some of their sub tabs go beyond that. I would prefer to label them Payments and Receipts

  19. Critically important to our business is being able to easily view 'notes' on overdue invoices next to their overdue amount in a list. No additional click thorughs with each individual invoice number as is the current system.

    Knowing when a reminder was sent and being able to view what their latest response was in a list form would massively help with managing unpaid invoices.

    We create separate spreadsheets to track overdue invoices and bad debt which is inefficient.

    This should be resolved with a quick view in the dashboard to ensure better debt management.
