  1. Critically important to our business is being able to easily view 'notes' on overdue invoices next to their overdue amount in a list. No additional click thorughs with each individual invoice number as is the current system.

    Knowing when a reminder was sent and being able to view what their latest response was in a list form would massively help with managing unpaid invoices.

    We create separate spreadsheets to track overdue invoices and bad debt which is inefficient.

    This should be resolved with a quick view in the dashboard to ensure better debt management.

    Appreciate your feedback and hearing what information you'd find most useful to see from the new homepage.

  3. I would like the Business Performance graph to remain. Its a useful visual and instant reminder of the performance.

    Additionally adding the VAT liability to the home screen would be extremely useful. Yes I know it changes daily, however a good insight for business and management of cash flow in an instant (without having to produce reports).

    The contents of the proposed Task Bar is just a duplication of information that's already on the home screen therefore not useful to add them collectively on 1 widget. To be able to add our own written task and reminders on a calendar…

    Really good to hear you exploring the new homepage, Estela.

    We ask that each idea is contained to one feature request so that it's easy for other members to understand what they're voting for and we can best keep you updated on any progress on a feature. I've slightly amended the title of your idea here for the first you've shared on the Business Performance dashboard.

    We appreciate hearing how you find this useful, however we want to be upfront that we don't have intentions of adding this to the new Homepage, to make way for new features that will be coming soon. You'll be able to continue accessing key information from the Business Performance Dashboard page.

    The Tax & Reporting widget has been replaced by a new sales tax widget, and depending on your region this will be available in the next 12 months. We also have an idea

  4. At a glance, a running total of VAT and Corporation tax due. As a small business, this would be very helpful for planning. Crunch Accounting had this on their homepage and it is the only thing i miss about their very clunky system!

    Hi Lyn, thanks for adding your feedback on our prototype for the new Xero homepage in regards to running totals for VAT/GST/BAS and Corporation/AU/NZ Tax, this is incredibly valuable to the team as they make the refinements.

    We know this addition would help you keep a closer eye on your business's financial health. We appreciate your continued feedback on the prototype homepage and encourage you to leave more feedback for us.

  5. As an accountant I prefer the Reporting and Accounting tabs together, under one tab as it has always been. It would slow me down, if I had to search for accounting tools/reports under different tabs.
    Please keep it simple!

  6. Filter out expense claims from Bills Awaiting Payment

    I input my own money occasionally into the business & don't require paying back, so the expense claim is left "open" & shows up on Bills awaiting payment - thus confusing the amount owing to Bills I have outstanding.

  7. Can the list of favourite reports be set to default to always include the Trial balance (at least with Advisor rights). As an accountant I always run a Trial balance report and have to manually set this as a favourite on every client I log into. I also regularly use the accountant transaction report and Aged payables and receivables which are already default favourites.

  8. Looking at the new interface at https://www.xero-reimagined-nav-hp.com/ the widgets fly in from the side, and the charts all animate from zero to their full value. I have an accessibility requirement to have reduced motion, and have selected this option on my computer which the new Xero website is ignoring. Websites can use this selection as shown in https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/@media/prefers-reduced-motion and https://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG22/Techniques/css/C39. Can you please implement the best practice for accessibility, and ensure all users can comfortably use your updated website by removing unnecessary animation when requested with the reduce motion option?     We appreciate you sharing improvements you feel would be most valuable within the Task widget of the new homepage experience.

    Our product team are carefully considering all feedback we're receiving on this and I'll be sure to share if there are any plans made with you here.

  10. In the tasks, it should report on the bills that are due to be paid in x period - whether that be a week or fortnight - user should be able to set it based on frequency of using the file.

    This would act as a prompt to ensure payment is made.

    In addition, there has not been a solution to recording a credit card statement due for payment. Being able to record the amount due and due date would really help! Fixing this would also be extremely useful

  11. Chart of Accounts Watchlist
    I would like it to only show some accounts if their balance does not equal 0
    Rather than reporting it when the account is 0 and just occupying space.

    This would be useful for Wages Payable, Superannuation Payable, Suspense accounts and various other accounts

  14. Can we add hotkeys for frequently used functions.

    For example

    Search - Alt + S

    Invoice - Alt + I

    Dashboard - Alt + D

Hi Kelly, concerning projects, I have a thought or idea in seeing HOT Projects or URGENT or PRIORITY Projects in the Projects drop down just like the drop down on the Reporting button that you have Favorite Reports when you create custom reports or when you favorite some of the standard ones.   17. I love the new homepage and how I can customize to make it less busy. I also love the Task widget. It would be great if there was a month end review widget showing a list of bank and credit card accounts with the last reconciliation date.

  19. Add GST Return due in the tasks box
    A lot of clients miss the reminder from IRD that a GST return is due, as reminder in Tasks would reduce this risk

    Upcoming changes are very useful. However, a small suggestion re. the home page menu: As an Accountant in practice would like the following order.

    Home
    Accounting
    Sales
    Purchases
    Payroll
    Reporting
    Tax and
    Contacts.
