This is crucial to our business, since our projects run over multiple stages and can last for multiple years sometimes, with staff cost rates changing over time - at least twice per year. The idea of static reports is a helpful but very very cumbersome and clunky workaround. Seems to be a fundamental requirement for the projects reporting to be of any use to us at all. Like an earlier commenter from 2023, this is potentially a deal-breaker for us, and will have to look elsewhere for project tracking - very disappointing.

Hi everyone, we understand the high importance of more flexibility in how you pay your supplier. As you may have read on our website online bill payments in AU is currently in beta, with plans to roll out to more organisations soon.
Once available to your organisation this agnostic solution, will give you multiple options of how your supplier receives funds, including BPAY as requested in this idea.
I'll come back and share once online bill payments become available to all Australian organisations. In the meantime you can find out more and sign up to the beta on our website. 🙂

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing how important it is for your business to have monthly salaried employees complete timesheets for tracking and reporting purposes, without impacting pay run calculations.
Some of you have found workarounds like approving timesheets after processing pay runs, although this may create challenges down the line.
Our product team is currently undertaking a wider review of timesheets, and this idea will be included in that process. Therefore we're updating this idea to Accepted. We'll keep you updated if there are any developments on this.

I don't understand why Xero refuses to implement this requirement. When can we expect some action, or must we choose different software? There is overwhelming need for this feature, and it makes no sense that it's not been addressed.

Been asking for this for years, it's really a nuisance not to have it.

We have been asking for this function for years, it makes the timesheet function really hard to manage. Like many companies, we have a mix of casual and permanent employees. ALL of them track their time in Xero Projects, and import this into the timesheets, but we have to be super-careful to only authorize the timesheets for casual employees. It is a really simple software fix to simply add a flag to say whether timesheet information should determine pays or not, and I don't understand why this critical functionality has been so badly mishandled.

Is anyone from Xero able to give an idea of when this issue will be resolved?
This is not a cool product enhancement idea, it is an absolutely critical requirement in order to make the project reporting function accurate. As it is, the reports are useless.
