Hi everyone, I'm very pleased to share that we've just released the ability to lodge future year Company Tax returns(CTR) through Xero Tax in Australia!
We know there are a few other forms that have been mentioned through this idea and will leave it open for further updates, however CTR's we're the highest ask on the list for majority of our Partners.
We want to say a big thank you to you all who've supported this and been involved in the journey of it's development.

Hi community, we appreciate the interest this idea has received. Sorry we haven't engaged with you on this idea sooner.
We understand being able to efficiently track and calculate fuel tax credits is important to you all who've supported this, however we want to be transparent that this isn't a feature we're looking to develop in the near future.
If you haven't already found a means to track this I wanted to share a method that could help. In Xero you could create untracked Inventory Items for each fuel type. When you enter purchases for fuel, you'd select the appropriate item, entering the number of litres into the Qty field, and the price per litre into the Unit Price field.
You could then use the Inventory Summary report to view the quantity of the fuel purchased during a date range.

Automatic calculation of fuel tax credits is a critical issue for many businesses.
The lack of an automatic calculator is impeding our ability to get clients to to convert to Xero from alternative software solutions.

Hey team, just wanted to give you a quick update on this idea that's been in "Under review" for a bit.
While we did explore this further, we unfortunately had to put it on hold for now. We totally get how improving these connections would help you here.
It is still on our radar, and as soon as we can dedicate more focus to it, I'll share any news and progress with you.
Very poor showing on Xero's part not to have future year returns available for all entities when it is a critical part of our work.
For those of us dealing with winding up of entities (particularly deceased estates, trusts being vested, ceased partnerships and for companies prior to liquidation), the lack of ability to lodge a future year return causes absolutely undue frustration, and unnecessary delays.

I'm afraid this is not accurate, and Xero needs to take things a step further in their development of Xero tax.
When are these changes going to be made please ?
