   Heya team, thanks to everyone who shared feedback through the form in our last update. Your contributions have helped us make great headway, and this idea is now moving into development.

   We're inviting a limited group of users to test our new Statement list and PDF views. These are important stepping stones towards scheduled statements, and testers will automatically receive early access to scheduling when it becomes available. Register your interest through this form as soon as possible.

   If you don't make it into this testing group, don't worry. We'll continue sharing updates here as the work progresses.

   This early release gives you greater control over your statements, from customising which columns you see to editing contacts inline and previewing exactly what each customer will receive before you send. Your statements will also now match your invoice branding for a more consistent experience.

   Please note: When you join, your entire organisation permanently moves to the new statement branding templates, that are consistent with your invoice templates. This can't be reversed. Each user can switch back to the older statements list for a limited time.

   What’s coming soon: Schedule statements to automatically send on regular cadence, track send status, get easier access to statements in the sales navigation, and have more control over which columns you display on your statement PDF.

   Hi everyone, thank you for continuing to share your feedback on invoice subtotals.

   We know this is a feature many of you feel strongly about, and we genuinely appreciate the time you’ve taken to explain the impact on your workflows.

   While this idea has been closely considered by our product teams we want to be upfront that at this point we don't have any foreseeable plans for developing the ability to add subtotals in invoices.

   As previously shared current options that you may want to explore include;

   • adding a description only line for each section where you can reference and explain the subtotals for a section of lines (leaving the Qty & Price blank),
   • exporting the invoice as a PDF and editing it externally, or
   • exploring invoicing tools in the Xero App Store that offer more extensive services

   We know these aren’t ideal substitutes, but they may help bridge the gap depending on your needs. Though this has been moved to Not in pipeline we’ll continue to reassess this idea in future planning and voting for this idea remains open.

   Thanks for raising and supporting the idea here, community. Being open this isn't something we're looking to develop into Quotes for the time being. However, if needed you could have two branding themes, with a different Quote template: one for the quote itself, and one for a packing slip.

   You could then edit the quote, and switch the branding theme to the one you want to send out.
