Thanks for your engagement with this idea to allow setting specific working days for part-time employees in AU Payroll. We understand wanting to handle these common working arrangements smoothly and accurately.
We know this is a key area for improvement and we'd like to look into this deeper in the long term, however it’s not in our roadmap just yet.
Right now you'll need to manually adjust leave requests.
We'll be sure to provide another update as we move forward with our investigations.

Hi everyone, I wanted to share another update regarding timesheet flexibility.
Our product team is currently working on a feature that will allow employees to add other unit-based earnings types directly to their timesheets via Xero Me. This means your team will soon be able to record allowances and other non-ordinary earnings pay items alongside their regular hours.
We know this has been a highly requested feature to help reduce manual adjustments for admins. We are currently in the development phase and will provide a further update here once we’re closer to a release date.

The current way creates so much more work for payroll officers and employees. Would be much more efficient to have it as an option to add on to the timesheet at the employees end - rather than having to send this info through a different way.
This is a feature that really needs to be added to help streamline payroll in Xero, and lower the chance of errors occurring.
